THE RIDGEWAY BARNS, NORTH WESSEX DOWNS AREA OF OUTSTANDING NATURAL BEAUTY, WILTSHIRE

This exciting new wedding and events venue on the borders of Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and West Berkshire is located three miles northwest of the village of Aldbourne, and just a short drive from junction 15 of the M4. It’s situated on Liddington Warren Farm, a mixed arable and sheep farm and offers on-site accommodation for 15 guests in the Georgian farmhouse, and landscaped gardens with stunning views stretching down the valley which are ideal for marquee events. Coming soon in 2023 is a renovation of the 19th-century threshing barns into a permanent rustic-inspired venue to accommodate up to 120 guests all year round.

Whether couples want to gather for an intimate celebration or expand into the garden and barns for a larger affair, the venue offers a variety of spaces and hire is typically for exclusive use over a two or three-day period.

Ceremonies take place in The Oak Framed Gazebo and The Ceremony Room. Intimate gatherings and events are accommodated in the farmhouse, whilst larger events can be held in a marquee or tipi in the landscaped gardens with the breathtaking views of the Ridgeway in the background.

THE SCENIC SUPPER, COTSWOLDS

The Scenic Supper has launched The Scenic Supper Parties and Wedding management service (separate from its unique fine dining experience within bespoke glasshouses at Todenham Manor Farm near Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire.) Dishes are made using locally sourced produce in keeping with The Scenic Supper’s ‘Paddock to Plate’ ethos. All dietary requirements including gluten-intolerant and nut and dairy-free can be accommodated to suit individual needs. A seasonally changing vegetarian menu will also be available, and a vegan menu can be created on request.

NOTLEY TYTHE BARN, AYLESBURY

Perched in picturesque rural grounds in the Chiltern Hills sits this lovingly restored, historic 12th-century barn boasting a beam-rafted roof and a white-washed hall and gallery, the perfect backdrop for different big-day themes. The talented team at this family-run wedding venue can provide a complete hosting service, planning every detail for the ceremony, seating, music, and catering.

The beautiful barn can seat up to 140 guests while a permanent marquee can accommodate another 60 people. The doors of the barn open directly on to the manicured garden that has been redesigned by Steven Hendry, a Chelsea Gold Medal-winning landscape architect. There’s a cocktail and canapé lawn plus a recreational lawn where children can run and play safely. A larger marquee can be placed here to accommodate up to 250 guests in total.

RACKLEY’S CHILTERN HILLS, CADMORE END, BUCKINGHAMSHIRE

This luxury wedding barn has a long history dating back more than 300 years. It has been fully restored, now benefitting from underfloor heating and air conditioning throughout, and natural light floods the airy space, especially in the glass conservatory that showcases sweeping views of the Chilterns and leads out on to the sun-filled York Terrace with ample seating where guests can enjoy a cocktail reception at sunset. The southfacing wall with a floor-to-ceiling window draped in fairylights makes a stunning backdrop for couple portraits.

The seven acres of rolling grounds provide ample opportunity for garden games. A fantastic photo opportunity in the courtyard is the illuminated millstones water feature and this area also houses a colourful, manicured garden. The wildflower meadow with pathways winding down to the fields below, where nature thrives, also provides a picturesque backdrop and there’s also a pergola lit up with fairylights.

Ceremonies and receptions take place in the south-facing main barn that seats up to 120 guests under oak beams draped with festoon lighting, creating a romantic ambience. Smaller ceremonies of up to 60 loved ones can enjoy the Upstairs Gallery and micro wedding ceremonies of up to 20 guests are best suited to the Meeting Room. There’s also an outdoor undercover option on the York Terrace for an intimate gathering of just eight people.

When a wedding is booked, the couple is offered the option of a complimentary food tasting and also a luxury goodie bag. There’s ample car parking on-site for 62 cars with an allocated registrar and disabled parking plus a ground floor disabled toilet with baby change facilities and highchairs available on request.

LONG CRENDON

Notley Tythe Barn is a beautiful, fully restored 12th-century barn set in picturesque gardens within 500 acres of pasture land at the foot of the Chiltern Hills. It is an elegant and unique venue for weddings, receptions, parties, celebrations and other special events.

UFTON COURT, READING, BERKSHIRE

This 16th-century timber-framed tithe barn and Grade I listed manor house is nestled in 16 acres of manicured grounds located on the Berkshire/Hampshire border. An impressive sweeping driveway lined with ancient oak trees leads to this hidden gem and in addition to the expertly landscaped grounds, Ufton Court is home to a small valley and a traditional herb garden/

The interior of the barn offers a wonderfully romantic atmosphere with the traditional oak beams decorated with ivy. It’s a blank canvas that can be transformed to suit any wedding theme. Ceremonies and receptions take place here from 15 up to 150 guests or in Archer’s Hall located opposite the barn in the courtyard which holds up to 80 loved ones. After the wedding breakfast, tea and coffee can be enjoyed in the Archer’s Hall and this space can be used again later as a quiet area for guests to relax and chat.

The Long Room in the Tudor Manor House is best suited to micro weddings and intimate gatherings of up to 50 people. In addition, the three reception rooms create a cosy and character-filled location for drinks receptions in the colder months.

The venue offers an extensive list of recommended suppliers including a choice of six caterers, plus there’s a highly experienced wedding coordinator on hand and no corkage charge.

The stately dressing room and oak-panelled library marry old and new, retaining its original features and offering a hint of grandeur for the bridal party on the morning of the wedding.

THE POST BARN, NEWBURY, BERKSHIRE

This new barn destination, located within 120 acres of stunning rolling grounds in Donnington Valley, has been built to the highest specifications made using traditional English oak with contemporary limestone tiles. Standout features include stunning floor-to-ceiling windows, a real log fire and sculptured garden zones. The venue offers a slick, contemporary feel with bespoke design and exquisite attention to detail.

Ceremonies take place inside the barn, under the arch outside and on the pavilion lawn while the wedding breakfast for up to 150 guests and the reception for up to 200 takes place inside.
