When did the company start? I’ve been face painting for almost 20 years, but primarily for other face painters or agencies on their behalf. I’d wanted to set up my own business for a long time, then some unexpected and challenging life changes in 2019 gave me the push I needed – Fizz Pop Facepainting was established within a few months.

What do you offer nearlyweds? I offer a festival glitter and grown-up glitz service to nearlyweds, which can be tailored to their needs. As soon as I started the company, I knew I wanted to add a glitter bar for grown-ups into my services as I love how it adds a fun atmosphere to events – we even offer biodegradable glitter. If desired, clients can opt to have painted eye designs or children’s face painting, which will be a big hit with guests. I tailor my designs to each person depending on what they’re wearing or their colour preferences to ensure each person receives my special attention.

Having worked in the events and entertainment industry for many years, I know how important both excellent customer service and professionalism are to my clients. I keep my booking process simple and come fully contained on the day, so I require no assistance setting up when I arrive.

What is your favourite part of the job? Seeing the excitement from the newlyweds and their guests when they see my glitter bar is my favourite part of the job as well as seeing their reactions once they’ve been glitzed up!

What is your top wedding tip? Don’t be afraid to ask lots of questions to suppliers before you confirm bookings, this helps ensure they’re the right fit for your wedding.

DAN WARD, OWNER AT EAST MIDLANDS 360 PHOTO BOOTH LTD

When did the company start? I started the company in May 2022 after seeing 360 video booths earlier in the year; they looked brilliant and different from the conventional booths and selfie mirrors. As I had been looking to start my own company for a while, I thought a 360 photo booth business was the perfect idea to do something different and bring a smile to peoples' faces.

What do you offer nearlyweds? Everything I do is bespoke to my clients’ wishes. On top of doing fun videos with all the guests involved, I also create more personalised ones just for the lucky couple.

What makes the business stand out? We offer a fantastic service from start to finish using the best software we use to create the videos to the quality of the props. My favourite part is when my clients see the finished product. Many people are still unfamiliar with 360 photo booths, so it gives me a great sense of reward for the service we offer when they see the final result.

When did the company start? After finding my passion for being a DJ in my school days, I’ve spent years playing at all types of events. There was a turning point when planning our wedding in 2013; my wife Louise and I decided we wanted to focus our attention on weddings going forward.

What do you offer nearlyweds? We offer the perfect recipe for amazing memories while ensuring guests have a great time. We’re a DJ company at heart, but we also offer a sparkly dancefloor, atmospheric lighting and classy love letters to create the ultimate party look. A wedding isn’t complete without a few shots in the photo booth too!

What makes the business stand out? Couples come to us because they know they can expect an incredible DJ performance when it’s time to party with their guests. For us, it’s not just about the day itself but the months of planning that go into it. We do everything we can to ensure our couples not only have a fun and stressfree day, but the whole experience running up to it too.

What is your favourite part of the job? As a DJ, I never get tired of seeing couples and their guests having a fantastic time on the dancefloor. I love being able to help couples, whether that’s offering some direction from my years of experience or taking their ideas and bringing them to life.

What is your top wedding tip? The day goes by so quickly, so you must make the most of it. That’s why it’s valuable to hire top suppliers you can trust to do their thing without having to worry.

When did the company start? We started the company back in 2015 after seeing a gap in the market for the hire of giant outdoor games. The ones you buy online are never giant and have very little impact when it comes to photographs and providing the wow factor at events.

What do you offer nearlyweds? Nearlyweds can hire giant outdoor games that are stylish and fun for guests, as well as the new addition to indoor activities too. The games create an ice breaker and are the perfect backdrop to fun photos.

What makes the business stand out? We take pride in how our games are set out, often providing additional decorative items to really create a stylish garden area for your guests to enjoy. Our previous clients have expressed how gorgeous the games looked with the flower decorations and how it really created the wow factor.

What is your favourite part of the job? Our favourite part of the job is to help couples achieve their wedding dreams, encapsulating the guest entertainment into that to ensure no one is clock watching and wondering what time the food will be served!
