That’s right – you can also wed at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, a 175 acre park with animal reserves and naturalistic setting! The venue has extensive planted grounds but the unique feature of a wedding at Yorkshire Wildlife Park is that you can have your wedding photos taken with some of the animals – giraffes are a favourite!

Yorkshire Wildlife Park’s Outlook Suite is the perfect space to say ‘I do’, able to accommodate up to 100 guests and can be dressed accordingly to suit any theme or style. Alternatively, the Tsavo Lodge marquee is a stunning venue for a wedding, with space for up to 160 guests, and is available with African-themed décor or blacked out with a starlight ceiling, glittering silver and blue drapes and spotlights.

Cutlers’ Hall is without question a magnificent venue steeped in history and grandeur. An impressive Grade II listed building in the heart of Sheffield City Centre, the present hall, the third, was built on the same piece of land in 1832, and is regarded as one of the finest livery halls in the north of England.

Cutlers’ Hall’s reception room is perfect for an intimate ceremony and wedding breakfast for up to 80 guests, with the Old Banqueting Hall catering for up to 120, and the Main Hall catering for over 200. Throughout your wedding you should also take advantage of the numerous photo opportunities that are in abundance throughout the building, with the Grand Staircase being a particular favourite. There’s also the famous Winter Gardens, or beautiful Peace Gardens just a five minute walk away.

THE CHIMNEY HOUSE

Perched on the edge of a historic waterway; the ‘mill race’ on Kelham Island; The Chimney House is an iconic redbrick building tracing back to 1886. With its 93ft chimney, former residents include an elephant, meaning it certainly boasts some history!

Coming into The Chimney House can only be described as cosy and welcoming, with the building restored to its former glory and now boasting redbrick fireplaces and stone stairs. Ceremonies take place in The Meeting Room for up to 50, with the venue custom styling a resplendent altar with an abundance of seasonal British blooms and candles. You’ll then host your wedding breakfast – or ‘feast’ as the venue prefers to describe it – for the same number of guests over two custom made tables. Again hosted in The Meeting Room, it’s an intimate space, set under original timber beams with incredible light from the original factory windows.
