Spring fever

Hello lovely readers, and welcome to another issue of Your East Midlands Wedding! Spring is finally here, and I couldn’t be more thrilled! After being cooped up indoors trying to stay warm, I can’t wait to venture outdoors and embrace more sunshine! The time of year is all about getting organised and new beginnings, which is perfect if you’re trying to plan your wedding. Spring is always a fabulous season to tie the knot with more seasonal produce, fun colour palettes, plenty of natural lighting for photographs and stunning flowers to pick from. Gardens will be in full bloom, meaning you’ll naturally have dream-worthy backdrops to take advantage of – cherry blossoms are my favourite way to add the wow factor to stunning images. In fact, we’ve hand selected stunning properties with glorious gardens to give you a head start on wedding planning.

Ensure you have a back-up plan in place if you’re looking to exchange vows outdoors, as the British weather can be unpredictable. A marquee or indoor space will provide loved ones with cover in case of any April showers. Photographers can capture stunning images no matter the weather, so embrace the rain with a funky pair of wellies and an umbrella for the ultimate photo shoot. For those that have just started planning their spring wedding, keep in mind any national holidays or events such as Mother’s Day or school holidays, as many people will be making plans in advance. I love being part of a wedding day, whether its make up or hair, or both! My favourite part is seeing someones reaction when they look in the mirror once I have done hair or make up, I have to had shrieks of delight, hugs, smiles etc.. its so rewarding. ere is nothing that feels as good as making a woman feel good about herself, especially on her wedding day.

Winning In Love

Lincoln’s Perfect Silhouette Hairdressing has won National Wedding Hair Stylist at The Wedding Industry Awards 2023.

After winning the Regional Wedding Hair Stylist of the Year in the East Midlands category, owner Robyn Wood went on to win at the national stage after being judged by a panel of industry experts. She comments, “This award has been a career goal of mine for several years. To be the national winner and be recognised at such a high level is a dream come true and a real pinch-me moment!” She continues, “The awards ceremony was an amazing event, and everyone is so supportive of each other – it was such an amazing feeling to be a part of it all.
