Gemma and Paul said “I do” at Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa at Christmastime

Although Gemma and Paul officially met online, Gemma already knew of Paul from their local area. They clicked right away and the rest is history. During lockdown, on their seven-year anniversary as a couple, Paul proposed at home over a cheese box. “It was a huge surprise,” Gemma tells us.

Conveniently located close to the couple’s home, they immediately fell in love with Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa and set the date to celebrate their big day there on 30th December, 2021. Here, the newlyweds share some of their gorgeous, festive, wedding album.

Gemma accessorised her beautiful gown with a diamanté belt for a bit of Christmas sparkle.

Gemma recalls, “Saying ‘I do’ was the highlight for me, as was seeing family on Zoom who weren’t able to make it on the day due to Covid.”

The creative table plan took the form of a ladder, which was decorated with flowers and candles. The happy couple gifted their guests gold boxes containing an assortment of yummy chocolates.

The couple surprised their guests with a super-fun performance from the singing waiters. “They didn’t have a clue,” Gemma remembers. Some of the couple’s nearest and dearest loved it so much they couldn’t help but get up and join in!
