APRIL 11 Crossing the Waters Join in the Big Read’s kickoff event: Crossing the Waters. Saturday, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Marine Village Hall, 121 Judd Street, Marine on Saint Croix. A family friendly celebration featuring Ojibwe activist Sharon M. Day; children’s activities by Laura Carlson; and a musical performance by Troubador Larry Long at 3 p.m. Free.

July 16, 2015 at Stars and Strikes Entertainment Center in Wyoming from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Over 20 restaurants will be on hand with samples of their signature food items. Throughout the evening guests will sample entrees, salads, desserts, beverages and much more.
