What we do

Emergency responders do far more than put out fires or bandage wounds. We are the first line of defense in natural and manmade disasters. We also respond to motor vehicle accidents, hazardous materials incidents, specialized rescues, and a vast array of emergency medical complaints. Every day, throughout Tillamook County, emergency responders answer the call of our families, friends and neighbors who are in need of assistance.

Criminal Division

The mission of the Sher iff’s Office Criminal Division is to serve and protect the people and property in Til lamook County.

To accomplish this mis sion, the Criminal Division enforces County ordinances along with County, State and Federal laws. in addition to normal patrol duties, the

The Civil Division is re sponsible for carrying out the duties imposed and mandated by the Sheriff as an officer of the Court system, and as required by law. The division fulfills these responsibili ties as it pertains to Forcible Entry and Detainer (FED) actions, Garnishment, Abuse Prevention Restraining Orders, Extraordinary Writs, Notices, Small Claims, Sum mons and Complaints, Sum mons and Petitions, Writs of Execution, Property Sales, and Criminal, Juvenile and

Civil Subpoenas.

Tillamook County Sher iff’s Office provides Search and Rescue throughout Tillamook County. Our team of highly trained and moti vated volunteers bring special skills, equipment and provide their personal time to assist the Sheriff’s Office with ex ceptional Search and Rescue services.

Our current public protec tion classification as of Au gust 01, 2014 is ISO Class 3.

Facilities & Equipment

Bay City Fire Department has a single station located at 9390 4th Street in downtown Bay City.

The department has three type 1 structural fire engines and one rescue squad.

Staffing

Bay City Fire Department is an all volunteer fire depart ment staffed with approxi mately 20 volunteer mem bers. All of our volunteers complete in house and/or academy training on various

firefighting and emergency response subjects. Many of our volunteers are also trained to various levels of emergency medical response. We also conduct training in various technical response ar eas including rope rescue and hazardous material response.
