Maintenance Mechanic Qualifications Requirements: • Five years of hands on mechanical experience in a continuous process industry (paper manufacturing strongly preferred) • Journey-level rating in a millwright/mechanical trade or equivalent experience. • A demonstrated commitment to safety. • Possess demonstrated interpersonal skills. • Understanding of troubleshooting of failure modes of all types of rotating assemblies, i.e. pumps, motors, gearboxes, fans, conveyors, etc. • Understanding of and ability to perform many levels of repair, situation dependent, to maximize the process reliability of the mill. • Understanding of basic rigging and hoisting principles • Ability to run machinery such as lift trucks, bridge cranes, carry decks. Desired Skills a Strong Plus: • Predictive/preventive maintenance experience. • Laser alignment skills • Pipefitting, welding, machinist, carpenter, lubrication skills • Maintenance planning and administration skills
