Excitement at Chinook Winds Casino Resort O
wned and operated by the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, Chinook Winds Casino Resort and the Siletz Tribe together form the largest employer in Lincoln County. Located in Lincoln City, the Casino is the hub of employment for the area and as such has an enormous impact on the economy. All of the events Chinook Winds Casino Resort promote benefit the Oregon Coast as well as the Resort itself just by the nature of drawing people to the area. Members of the staff are encouraged to take part in community-wide activities. Often the Casino staff form teams to participate in charitable fundraisers, food drives, culinary

Chinook Winds Casino spearheads and assists in the development of many community wide events such as the Celebration of Honor, the last weekend in September, an event that honors veterans of the armed forces and active duty personnel and their families. Sponsorship is provided and/or donations made to nearly all of the community events throughout the year. Most Special Events at Chinook Winds include a component that provides funding for local charitable organizations. Since 1995 Chinook Winds Casino Resort has been recognized for its many contributions made to better the environment and the community including recognition as a Visionary Partner in the Pacific Power Green Power Partnership program. The Siletz Tribe is proud of its contributions through employment, monetary donations and cooperative measures to Lincoln County and the state of Oregon. The Tribe has honored its tradition of sharing within the community by distributing more than $8.9 million through the Siletz Tribal Charitable Contribution Fund and other Tribal resources. amaritan North Lincoln Hospital is an accredited 25-bed hospital located in a peaceful setting on Devils Lake in Lincoln City, Oregon. Since 1967, residents and coastal visitors have relied on the hospital for quality medical services delivered in a caring and professional environment. The hospital operates within the North Lincoln Health District. It also is a part of Samaritan Health Services, a non-profit network of hospitals, physician clinics and health services caring for the communities of the midWillamette Valley and central Oregon Coast. In late 2015, Samaritan announced plans to construct a new hospital on the existing campus in Lincoln City. During construction, the hospital and outlying clinics will remain open. The goal is to complete construction by early 2019. expectations, be patient- and family-centric, flexible, scalable and reflective of our local culture. than 20 physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners. OREGON COAST COMMUNITY COLLEGE Completed in Fall 2008, the Oregon Coast Community College North County Campus is the College’s first completed structure designed for academic and workforce training purposes. The 22,000 square foot facility located at 3788 SE High School Drive contains the Small Business Development Center, a science classroom, a community room, a math center, an art room, faculty offices and five general purpose classrooms. CAREER TECH HIGH SCHOOL Career Tech High School is a small public charter high school. CTHS enrolls about 60 students each year in a student-centered, active learning framework. Known for having the shortest river in the world, D River, this area has a variety of restaurants and shops. D River Wayside is the place you’ll find a host of folks flying kites and enjoying good beach access. The Lincoln City Cultural Center is located in the former Delake school and is host to art exhibits, events and musical performances throughout the year.
CUTLER CITY C L Located between Salishan and Taft, Cutler City is a quiet beach community. A great place to gallery and antique shop. The internationally known Freed Gallery brings people from all over the world to the area.
TAFT A very convenient beach access is right down SW 51st Street. The area has been refurbished and is home to hotels, small beach shops, galleries, restaurants and even a microbrewery. The Jennifer Sears Glass Studio and The North Lincoln County Historical Museum are also located in Taft.
SALISHANGLENEDEN BEACH About five miles south of Lincoln City is the Salishan area, located in Gleneden Beach. Salishan has a gated community of lovely homes on the spit and the hillside of Highway 101. Gleneden Beach is a quiet, homey, neighborly community, known for its huge July 4th Parade. The area is home to Salishan Spa & Golf Resort, too.
NELSCOTT Along Highway 101 is a short row of shops and restaurants known as Nelscott. It’s walking and pet friendly neighborhood has two of the nicest beach accesses in Lincoln City.
OCEANLAKE Beach shopping at its finest is in Oceanlake. The quaint shops and restaurants you come to the coast to find make their home in Oceanlake. This is the place to stroll along and really sample the beach living experience.
