Tillamook High School Valedictorian Yin Yin Tan

The Tillamook High School Class of 2022 Valedictorian is Yin Yin Tan. Not only graduating at the top of her class, Yin Yin was THS ASB President, Charity Drive Overall Chairperson, was a member of the THS band, and participated on the soccer and tennis teams. She is the first member of her family to graduate high school and go on to attend college. Yin Yin plans to attend UC Berkeley in the fall. Yin Yin was a recipient of the Mabon Scholarship.

Tillamook High School Salutatorian Brock Manderson The Tillamook High School Class of 2022 Salutatorian is Brock Manderson. During his time at THS, Brock has a member of the soccer team for four years, competed in track, and was active in robotics and part of the NOSB (National Ocean Sciences Bowl) team which placed second this year in the 25th Annual Salmon Bowl hosted by OSU.

Neah-Kah-Nie School Valedictorian Nakai Reny-Hamer Neah-Kah-Nie High School Graduating Class of 2022 Valedictorian is Nakai Reny-Hamer. Nakai is a recipient of several scholarships including ones from the Kiwanis, John & Alice Dillard Memorial, Rockaway Beach Lions, Eugene Schmuck Foundation, RTI—Nehalem Telecom, and Western Washington University During his years at NKN, Nakai was also a member of National Honor Society. This spring, Nakia was also a participant in Hampton Lumber’s design wrap contest that earned NKN $15,000 that will be used for art supplies. Nakai will attend Western Washington University in the fall.

Neah-Kah-Nie High School Salutatorian Emma Miller Neah-Kah-Nie High School Graduating Class of 2022 Salutatorian is Emma Miller. Emma graduated with a GPA of 4.329. During her time at NKN, Emma was an accomplished athlete participating in volleyball, basketball, and track & field in which is a multi-state champion. Emma received the Senior Pirate Athlete Award. Emma was also a member of National Honor Society including holding position of secretary, as well as being secretary of the Leo’s club. Emma is a scholarship recipient of the North Tillamook County Women’s Association Scholarship, Rotary Club of Tillamook Scholarship, Kiwanis Scholarship, Rockaway Beach Lions Scholarship, Thomas John Hoffert Memorial Scholarship, Eugene Schmuck Foundation Scholarship, and the RTI—Nehalem Telecom Scholarship. Emma will. Be attending Ohio State University in the fall.
