Who’s Waking Up Country?

Country Aircheck dug into Nielsen’s November PPM releases to see which Country morning shows are waking up the most people. With morning drive clearance on 16 stations in PPM markets, it’s no surprise that the total cume for The Bobby Bones Show puts him in a commanding lead, with a weekly reach of more than 1.3 million. His largest individual market cume is in Washington, DC, where Bones reaches 182,200 on iHeartMedia WMZQ. The largest local show belongs to Audacy WUSN/ Chicago; Melissa McGurren and Austin Huff’s six-month-old show reaches a quarter of a million people every week. The next two spots are occupied by Cumulus’ Dallas properties. The Wake Up With The Wolf show on KPLX with Brian Moote and Tara Ward also clears the quarter million mark for third place, just 2,600 listeners ahead of Mark “Hawkeye” Louis and Michelle Rodriguez, who are down the hall at KSCS.
