During lockdown, Daniel spent his time writing new songs and knew he needed a bigger and bolder sound. Since then has has collaborated with Jake Webb and Paul Burkett, two talented Thetford musicians. Lead guitarist Jake worked with Daniel on his first EP, offered his skills as a bass guitarist as well as lead guitar. Paul, a previous band mate with Jake, is a skilled drummer and was keen to help bring that bolder sound to the new tracks. On April 29th this year they released their first track called Boring or Ugly which was played on BBC Radio Suffolk on the BBC Introducing Show on 14th May. More recently, on 25th June their second single Cruel and Crazy World was released with more music to follow later this year. Daniel says that Cruel and Crazy World is about trying to make it as a musician at an older age and breaking the mould of having to be in your teens or early twenties to be in the music industry.

Soundly Fostering’s children and families all met up at the beginning of June and experienced baking in a professional kitchen. Tracy from the Burrell Kitchen gave everyone a master class in baking Jubilee Cupcakes. Everyone joined in mixing, baking and making their own cakes. We found that we have some real talent in the kitchen. Some of the boys were great at piping red, white and blue icing and the youngest twins, used lots of pretty sprinkles. Everyone’s cakes were delicious! Not only did we get to make and eat cake, but foster parents all had a chance to chat and catch up. After lunch, Soundly Fostering treated them to a relaxation class with Senara and the children had a taster martial arts class with Kuk Sool Won of Thetford. Everyone learnt new skills and some young people have decided to come back and carry on with martial arts. Our foster parents do lots of things with the children when they are at home and it’s fantastic to have family days out together having fun. If you would like to foster with us, feel free to pick up the phone or pop in for a chat. For more information, telephone Soundly Fostering on 01842 818793 or email:
