TOWN SQUARE PARK REVITALIZATION

The contract for Town Square Park has been approved. Town Square Park is a 6.2-acre neighborhood park built in 1992 and located in the West Laguna area at 3020 Renwick Avenue. Renovations will include replacing the existing play structure equipment, adding a new 2 to 5 aged play area, new accessible concrete pathways, a new prefabricated shade structure, an adult fitness station, half-court basketball, site furnishings, and planting and irrigation improvements.

A design workshop was held on October 24, 2019, to discuss and review the design proposal for the revitalization and upgrade of Town Square Park. As a result of the feedback received from participants at the park design workshop and online comments received during the community outreach process, the conceptual plan has been modified to include a basketball court.

Construction will start early 2023 with an anticipated opening date for end of year 2023.
