Smiles all round at Serrell Street kinder

In August, when the Serrell Street kindergarten community was informed that the service would close at the end of the 2022, around fifty families faced an uncertain future of not knowing where or when their children could attend kinder in 2023.

Fast forward several months later, and with thanks to the continued efforts of Council’s Community Services, who facilitated meetings between parents, the Department of Education and Glen Education, Serrell Street kinder is open for business – and is welcoming children.

The kinder will benefit from the management and high-quality service offered by Glen Education, a not-forprofit Early Years Manager, whose role is to provide inclusive programs that foster a lifelong love of learning.

From 2023, the service will be known as Glen Serrell Street Kindergarten. Parents and families are grateful to East Ward Councillors for the support they provided to families during the kinder’s closure.
