TABLES OF SUN

COSTA NOVA SPRING SUMMER’26 ALGARVE

COSTA NOVA SPRING SUMMER 2026

When the first rays of sun appear, we head south. It’s almost instinct. The Algarve calls — a promise of light, salt, and stillness.

Every year, we return. For long spring weekends. For Easter. For summers that seem to never end. The South becomes our pause, our way of breathing again.

This season, we translate that feeling into form, bringing it to the table.

Heritage lines softened by time, textures that speak of craft and the Portuguese sun. Each piece is a quiet celebration of reinvented tradition, of innovation, form, color, and light.

For this journey, we looked beyond the tourist bustle and the summer rush — to places where the Algarve reveals its quieter side: sophisticated, timeless, and true. Here, authenticity endures. Tradition and the contemporary coexist with ease, in spaces that remain true to themselves - quiet, refined, and full of soul.

Venha daí! Join us on this journey and let the Algarve sun lead the way.

Chapter One Spring Blossoms

Spring takes us to Hospedaria, in Tavira. Vila, our new 2026 collection, finds its home there, as naturally as the sun settles over the Algarve.

Chapter Three The Colors of Summer

At Casa Utspan in Moncarapacho, Algarve, Nova and Aparte unfold under clear, sun-drenched skies. At Pensão Agrícola, Rafaela and Summer Bliss bask in the same warm light, transforming each table into a moment of joy and serene simplicity.

Chapter Two Summer of Sun

Summer is spent in the South - always. This season, we head to Quinta do Pinheiro and Pensão Agrícola, two sophisticated rural escapes where our reinvented classics, Vila and Beja, shine beneath the Algarve sun.

Chapter Four

Under the Moonlight

Quiet magic fills Algarve nights, where tables hold COSTA NOVA to perfection. From hills to shore, stars glimmer. Sunsets awaken the senses: the scent of herbs, the taste of fresh fish, the fading light, the rhythm of the ocean.

HOSPEDARIA, ALGARVE

Vila / Hospedaria A Journey of Connection

At Hospedaria, Vila finds its perfect setting: among walls whitewashed with lime, heirloom pieces, the quiet rhythm of the countryside, and the timeless light of the Algarve.

In Sítio da Cumeada, set in the heart of the Algarve’s barrocal region — between the sea and the hills, near the historic town of Tavira and the village of Cacela Velha — stands Hospedaria, a rural retreat created by the Pensão Agrícola Group.

Once a roadside tavern and trading post dating back to 1917, it was for decades a meeting place for farmers and travelers — a space of exchange, stories, and celebration, remembered fondly for the “bailes da Cumeada” (the Cumeada dances).

After thirty years of silence, Hospedaria was brought back to life with care and intention. The architecture preserves the essence of the original venda, reinterpreting its materials and memories through a contemporary lens.

This harmony between past and present mirrors the spirit of the Vila Collection — a line inspired by traditional Portuguese ceramics and reimagined for modern living.

Inspired by the romantic spirit of late 19th-century Portugal, Vila — COSTA NOVA’s new collection pays homage to the delicate charm of traditional floral faience.

Back then, floral motifs adorned ceramics that reflected the warmth and intimacy of Portuguese homes: modest yet exquisitely cared for.

Drawing from a rich heritage of craftsmanship, the new collection reimagines romantic motifs through a contemporary lens. Soft glazes, tactile textures, and gentle tones echo the hand-painted ceramics of a bygone era. Vila is a quiet homage to faience shaped by French, English, and Portuguese hands, where artistry and local devotion intertwined: a timeless expression of beauty for the modern table.

New Cutlery — Nau – Antique Brown

Nau cutlery design draws inspiration from the Portuguese «nau» ships of the Age of Discoveries. For this season, the collection expands with two new exclusive finishes: Antique Black and Antique Brown (as pictured), brushed and subtly aged for a timeless look.

Reinventing Tradition with Vila

As an old roadside tavern and trading post (venda) can be reborn as a home for modern times — where luxury feels understated and authenticity endures — so can an old design find new life in a contemporary form. Vila, in Beige, embodies that spirit: timeless yet modern, familiar yet renewed.

VILA COLLECTION

Like spring itself, Vila arrives as a vintage, reinvented collection: new colors, a softer light, and the quiet promise of a new beginning.

Arenito as Easter Turns to Summer

This season, Arenito’s soft colors in ecogres, COSTA NOVA’s sustainable, recycled clay, find their place among Algarve’s sunlit homes, in perfect harmony with the calm, golden landscape.

In the Algarve, life moves with gentle ease. Vacation homes are simple, lightly furnished, and quietly understated, letting golden light, the scent of urze, and the rhythm of sea and countryside drift through every room. Here, the day unfolds naturally.

The Arenito collection embodies the essence of sustainable living.

Crafted from ecogres recycled clay, it brings together glazed and unglazed surfaces in quiet dialogue, an eco-design expression woven into the very DNA of the collection.

Thoughtful and understated, Arenito feels at home in a vacation retreat where simplicity reigns: where local food is shared, seasonal flowers bloom naturally, and every detail — though minimal — is considered. Its soft, sun-warmed colors echo the serenity of an Easter break in the Algarve, inviting calm, connection, and quiet reflection.

Where Barefoot Meets Pacifica

Kitchens have become a reflection of who we are, a mirror of our lifestyle. Every item on open shelves or along the counter is meant to be used, yet also to decorate with quiet personality. Here, simplicity meets sophistication: a space where Pacifica and Fattoria collections settle naturally, blending functionality and sentiment in effortless, understated elegance.

Pacifica’s natural design fits modern life like a glove. As the table takes shape for the photoshoot, we pause to feel the quiet comfort of home.

The new teapot and cups, in warm, earthy tones, mingle softly with the wooden tabletop, catching the light just so. In this kitchen, simplicity becomes a canvas, a stage for Fattoria, Pacifica, Mito, and Maria to coexist in harmony.

Vila Collection

A Table Full of Sun

QUINTA DO PINHEIRO, ALGARVE

Vila / Quinta do Pinheiro A Journey of Connection

The Vila collection brings tradition to the table with a modern twist. Its classic colorways — the forever elegant combination of white with red and white with blue — recall 19th-century Portuguese floral motifs, while its naturally flowing edges and contemporary reinterpretation make them a today’s timeless must-have.

Set against the serene backdrop of Quinta do Pinheiro, the collection finds its perfect home. The Quinta’s 19th-century architecture - redframed windows, local stone floors, and interiors bathed in shifting natural light - harmonizes with Vila’s colors and textures. Surrounded by orchards, vineyards, and the Ria Formosa, the estate’s historic charm and natural beauty amplify the collection’s vibrant yet refined spirit.

Renovated in 2021 by a Dutch couple who preserved its original character while bringing modern comfort, Quinta do Pinheiro mirrors Vila’s philosophy: a dialogue between tradition and reinvention. Together, collection and estate celebrate heritage, summer light, and the effortless elegance of Tavira, offering a setting where timeless design and contemporary life meet.

The Vila dinnerware collection stands gracefully on its own, yet finds new expression when paired with other COSTA NOVA pieces.

Each setting becomes a quiet dialogue between tradition and modern refinement — a meeting of forms, textures, and memories. For our next summer meal in the pátio, we chose to combine Vila in white-red with BEJA, one of COSTA NOVA’s most cherished collections, adorned with a delicate handpainted red filet. Together, they bring a soft romanticism to the table: a harmony of color and craft, bathed in the warm light of an Algarve afternoon.

Lunch in a Portuguese Kitchen

In Portugal, family tradition begins in the kitchen, where informal lunches are savored amidst the hum of daily life. Setting the table beautifully in the kitchen — a room so lived in, where meals are prepared with care and shared with joy — is as natural today as it was in the 19th century. Vila, a reinvented classic, finds its perfect place, whether on the grand dining table or amid the warmth of the kitchen, its elegance understated, timeless, and effortlessly modern.

A Table Beneath Time

PENSÃO AGRÍCOLA, ALGARVE

We arrived at Pensão Agrícola, a 1920’s farmhouse reborn with quiet grace as a rural hotel.

Every corner carries the warmth of the Algarve - whitewashed walls, terracotta floors, orange, fig, almond and arbutus trees that have seen generations come and go. Under the shade of a secular olive tree, a table awaits - rustic, honest, and true. It is set with Beja, COSTA NOVA’s tableware collection inspired by antique enameled pieces, heritage turned modern, a tribute to the everyday beauty of Portuguese craft.

Beja / Pensão Agrícola Beja, a moment suspended

This rural hotel is as authentic as it is genuinely sophisticated, a place where eating outdoors beneath an olive tree or a vineyard becomes a luxurious experience.

Guests are served with COSTA NOVA tableware, thoughtfully mixed with relics in silver, crystal, and antique French faience and porcelain.

Here, time bends gently backward. The past and present share the same table. The Beja collection carries this spirit. It is more than tableware. It is a feeling. A memory made tangible.

15 ml red wine vinegar

Salt and black pepper to taste

Dress: Drizzle with olive oil and vinegar. Season with salt, pepper, and sprinkle with parsley. Gently toss. Serve: Best served in a large serving bowl, slightly chilled or at room temperature. Rustic, colorful, and full of mountain flavors.

Pão de trigo e alfarroba

beautiful, rustic loaf with a light crumb and the gentle sweetness of carobearthy, soft, and full of Algarve tradition.

Azeitonas Britadas

A cherished Algarve tradition, where olives are gently cracked and cured with salt and herbs, creating a simple yet flavorful treasure.

INGREDIENTS

8 cups (1 kg) unbleached all-purpose flour (Type 65 or bread flour, if available)

2 tablespoons carob flour

3 cups (700 ml) water

1 tablespoon active dry yeast

1 tablespoon salt

INSTRUCTIONS

Mix flours: Combine wheat and carob flour, sift once or twice until evenly blended. Prepare liquid: In a large bowl, dissolve yeast and salt in water. Warm the water slightly in winter. Combine: Stir in the flour mixture with a wooden spoon until no dry spots remain. Rise: Cover and let the dough rise until nearly tripled in size (about 2–3 hours). Shape: Dust with flour, cut off portions of dough, and gently shape. Rest 40 minutes. Bake: Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C), then lower to 375°F (190°C) once the bread is in. Bake on a floured or cornmeal-dusted baking sheet or terracotta dish. Steam: Place a small pan of water in the oven for a crisp, golden crust.

INGREDIENTS

500 g green or mixed olives

100 g coarse salt

Water (enough to cover the olives)

2 garlic cloves (optional)

Fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, bay leaf — optional)

Lemon or orange peel (optional, for aroma)

INSTRUCTIONS

Prepare the olives: Wash the olives thoroughly. Using a knife or a small mallet, lightly crack each olive, just enough to open the skin without smashing the flesh. Salting: Place the olives in a glass or ceramic container. Sprinkle with coarse salt and mix well. Cover completely with water. Curing: Let the olives sit for 5–7 days, changing the water daily to reduce bitterness. Flavoring (optional): After curing, drain the olives and place them in a clean jar. Add garlic, fresh herbs, and citrus peel to taste. Cover with olive oil or salted water. Serve: The olives are ready to enjoy after 1–2 weeks of maturation in the jar. Keep refrigerated to maintain freshness.

Coastal Light, Coastal Living

A place to unwind with Nova and Aparte

The terrace catches the warm, golden light, the pool reflects the sky, and every corner whispers crafted details and collected treasures — a table set with Nova and Aparte tableware becomes a celebration of summer rituals.

Here, meals are shared with a view, olive oil glistening, fresh fish and vegetables from local markets at hand, and the Atlantic just beyond reach. The energy is vibrant yet calm - a perfect blend of coastal light, summer heat, and creative spirit, a setting where COSTA NOVA lives naturally in its environment.

At Casa (home) meals are shared with a view and the energy is vibrant yet serene, a harmony of coastal light, summer warmth, and creative spirit, a setting where COSTA NOVA lives effortlessly within its surroundings.

Nova / Casa Utspan A Journey of Connection

Nestled on a gentle hill in the eastern Algarve, near Moncarapacho, Casa Utspan lies just fifteen minutes from the beaches of the Ria Formosa and 10 minutes from Mercado de Olhão. Originally built in the 1980s, the house has been lovingly reimagined by its family owners - part private retreat, part creative destination.

Every corner tells a story: handcrafted clay tiles, custom ceramic sinks, and treasures gathered from travels and local flea markets. Inside and out, the house reveals its character in details.

The outdoors extend the living — a pool for languid afternoon swims, a yoga shala open to the breeze, a skate bowl and basketball court adding a playful contrast to the rural calm. From the terraces, the sunlit hilltop captures the essence of the Algarve: light, leisure, and natural ease.

Here, COSTA NOVA meets the coast that inspired it — the Atlantic influence felt in every breeze, in every reflection of light on the ceramic glaze, and in the collection’s graceful forms. The brand’s coastal soul echoes the Portuguese shoreline itself: simple, natural, timelessly elegant.

Rafaela Collection

Splash of Color

PENSÃO AGRÍCOLA, ALGARVE

This is summer at its most alive — COSTA NOVA beneath the sun, Rafaela at the heart of the table.

The afternoon unfolds slowly, a blend of sea breeze and conversation. At the table, Rafaela meets Summer Bliss, a collection designed by Laetitia Rouget. Together, they bring color and light to the moment.

Rafaela bursts with splashes of orange, blue, green, and yellow — each hand-applied brushstroke a small expression of joy.

Summer Bliss joins in with freehand designs and Mediterranean motifs, a celebration of artistry and ease.

Both are vibrant, sun-kissed, and spontaneous - made for long summer days, and tables that feel alive.

This summer scene is completed with Mito cutlery in soft mint and Maria table linens, crafted in Portugal from 100% natural fibers, bringing subtle texture and effortless harmony to the vibrant table.

A Table under the Moonlight

Ramo Cutlery Collection

Summer nights invite long meals, laughter, and quiet moments of reflection. COSTA NOVA tableware catches the last rays, filling every corner with warmth and conviviality. A table set with Riviera becomes the perfect stage for a new introduction: Ramo cutlery, designed by Carsten Gollnick. Inspired by nature, this sculptural collection is available in Polished, Brushed, and Black finishes.

New Cutlery — Ramo Cutlery

Ramo cutlery brings nature to the table. Sculpted like a delicate branch, its botanical form merges artistry and function, offering effortless balance and visual elegance. Available in Polished (as pictured on page 129), Brushed, and Brushed Black finishes.

Under the moonlight, a table glows — a deep red linen spread across it, rich and textured, the color of late summer evenings.

Here, the Riviera collection by French floral designer Christian Tortu meets Carsten Gollnick’s Ramo cutlery, set over Portuguese-crafted linens. A gathering of European charm, reimagined under the Algarve night sky, where every piece tells a story of design, craft, and the art of living beautifully. The scene is dramatic yet effortless — a perfect reflection of how COSTA NOVA lives at the table: where stoneware, glass, linen, and metal blend seamlessly, each detail in harmony.

Romance arrives not in gestures, but in the glow of candles, the touch of linen, and the simple beauty of sharing a meal beneath the stars. A casual, sophisticated moment, one that inspires good company and long conversations over Portuguese wine.

At the table, Cristal’s new serveware in white and Cristal and Brisa new glassware plates could tell the story on their own, their elegance is that striking.
