COSTA NOVA FALL HOLIDAYS 2026
This season, we introduce new collections, colors, and designs for spaces that bring together tradition and modernity. The table moves between two worlds: a home in Porto, alive with the rhythm of the city, and a retreat in the aldeia, where we escape the busy days in search of quiet and stillness.
Almara and Forest collections come together at the table this Thanksgiving. In our home in Porto, we prepare to welcome family and friends, setting the scene for a moment shaped by warmth, gathering, and shared ritual.
Home is where the heart is, and the Portuguese heart and soul are rooted in the authenticity of its aldeias (old villages). Christmas is followed by New Year and Epiphany, and as we gather around a table set with COSTA NOVA, we find joy in simplicity.

Roda introduces a new reactive brown glaze, Cocoa. It pairs naturally with the new Forest accent plates and leaf pieces.

The nature of the Portuguese people (shared in many ways with our Spanish neighbors) lies in an authenticity that, while increasingly modern and urban, remains firmly rooted in rural origins. Hospitality is part of this essence, and the table remains our favorite place to gather. This season, this catalogue journeys north, from Porto to the remote aldeias of the Gerês mountains.
Along the way, it traces tables where tradition meets modernity, and where each collection is conceived for the rituals it accompanies.
From this Portuguese essence comes a way of designing tableware that values permanence — unique collections created not for a moment, but for many seasons of gathering and time spent at the table. Almara, Scotia, Nótos, Forest… and others come together in quiet celebration throughout the following pages.
Happy Holidays!

Roda, conceived by Portuguese ceramic designer Torres Euracini, stands out in its new cocoa reactive brown at an urban table in a distinctive home in Porto.

It is autumn. Porto, in northern Portugal, is wrapped in warm light. The city feels open, welcoming, alive in its own quiet, unmistakable way.
At home, the season's light takes over the room. It settles on wood, on surfaces, on everything it touches, turning the dining space into something almost cinematic.
A table is set for the whole family. Twelve places, but many possibilities. For arrival, for gathering, for whoever comes first, and whoever stays longest. A place where time loosens its shape.
On the table, Roda appears in a new colorway - reactive brown, shifting between depth and shine. Iridescent, yet grounded. Earth, but not still. It carries light the way wet leaves carry it after rain - briefly, beautifully, unpredictably.

Casa Cedo was chosen for this autumn story for a simple reason: alignment.
Not only in aesthetics, but in sensibility. There is a shared language between the house and COSTA NOVA — one of material honesty, quiet refinement, and a disciplined approach to beauty that never feels imposed.
Casa Cedo is quietly embedded in the urban fabric of Porto, existing with a sense of ease that feels almost inevitable. Within a city defined by layered contrasts — historic texture meeting contemporary rhythm — it offers a distilled reading of urban living. It does not seek to stand apart from its surroundings, but rather to align with them, absorbing the light, pace, and material presence of Porto’s everyday life.
Like COSTA NOVA, Casa Cedo is defined by storytelling — both its own and that created by its guests. The house is kept deliberately honest. Materials are left to speak as they are: wood, light, texture, time. The result is a space that feels composed, but never constructed.
In this setting, autumn gains a different dimension — one of calm and ease.
COSTA NOVA tableware settles naturally into the space, where color and concept merge with the atmosphere rather than sit apart from it.

Scotia Collection
Back in the Aldeia, the table was always simple, generous, and meant to be lived around.
Scotia, crafted from recycled ecogres clay, brings the same sense of warmth to the table through stoneware designed for everyday rituals — honest in material, familiar in presence, and quietly enduring.

Portugal is filled with lost Aldeias — small villages, some abandoned, yet never forgotten.
In the past, people left these places in search of a different life elsewhere. Today, a new generation is returning, drawn by a slower rhythm and a renewed sense of quality of life. Old family homes are being restored, becoming places of refuge once again.
Yet, as in the old days, the table remains at the center of the house. And, set in simplicity, Scotia transports us to a time when meals were still served by our grandmother — when moments were unhurried, and everything felt closer. Like time frozen inside a beautiful memory.
Above: Scotia dinner plate 26 cm | 10” in brown and salad/dessert plate 21 cm | 8” in vanilla with Nau flatware in antique black, Remo rosewood steak knife in vintage matte and Gomos wine glass 23 cl | 8 fl oz in clear. Opposite page: Scotia dinner plate 26 cm | 10” in olive green, appetizer plate 16 cm | 6” in brown and soup/cereal bowl 16 cm | 6” in vanilla with Maria napkin in forged iron and round horn napkin ring in dark grey.

COSTA NOVA merges into this story by honoring simplicity, developing collections that dress the table with effortless honesty — from stoneware pieces to glassware, flatware, and linens.

Life in the north of Portugal brings us closer to nature and to our ancestral heritage, where traditions, landscapes, and everyday rituals remain deeply intertwined.

In the kitchen, this sensibility continues. COSTA NOVA kitchen collections settle naturally into the quiet rhythm of the Aldeia — resting on open shelves, gathering light beside stone and wood, always within reach. Designed for everyday use, they become part of the atmosphere itself, where utility is softened by memory and simple gestures shape the space.

Scotia Collection
Portuguese heritage, carried forward through living tradition, becomes a return to roots — back to old family homes, now reimagined as retreats. The table remains center stage, as it always was. On top of it, Scotia brings family and friends together.

Throughout the 20th century, many people from rural villages in northern Portugal left for larger cities like Porto or emigrated abroad in search of opportunity.
Seasonal returns to the Aldeia for harvests, religious festivities, and family gatherings were — and still are — a meaningful part of Portuguese cultural life.
In autumn, chestnut season (magustos), wine harvests (vindimas, often late summer into early autumn), olive harvesting, and shared communal meals bring a particular sense of gathering back to the villages.
We honor these moments by returning to the Aldeia and setting inspiring tables — merging past and present to inspire future generations and ground them in Portuguese tradition.
Opposite page: Scotia dinner plate 26 cm | 10” in olive green and dip bowl 8 cm | 3” in brown with Nau flatware in antique black, Acapulco red wine glass 55 cl | 19 fl oz in green, Maria linens in khaki, round horn napkin rings in camel and oak wood cutting/ serving board w/ handle 30 cm | 12”. Scotia moves fluidly across settings, carrying a narrative of past, present, and future — quietly timeless in expression.

This fall season, it was placed within a traditional house in the mountains of northern Portugal, as well as a contemporary table dressed in Maria linens, complemented by Nau flatware and Acapulco recycled glassware

Almara remakes tradition, reinterpreting classic forms for contemporary living. Truly special in its expression, it bridges heritage and modernity. Subtle in its luxurious form and restrained in its expression, Almara becomes an everyday favorite when placed without excess, allowing form and material to speak for themselves.

Crafted in stoneware, this covered casserole has the presence of an heirloom piece — equally beautiful as serveware or as a decorative centerpiece.

Almara carries a strong presence at the table, but asks for no occasion — only a friend.
There is a quiet kind of luxury in the absence of excess at the table — in the way we place the tableware over a solid wood table, and the light moves across ceramic without interruption.
With its classic-contemporary design, subtle bead detailing, and reactive translucent white glaze, Almara collection carries presence without insistence. The metallic items add a heritage feel, like heirloom pieces gathered over time. It might seem expressive at first glance, but it becomes exactly what is needed for a sense of effortless balance.

— Almara – Coffee Set
This delicate coffee serving set reads like silver, yet is crafted in stoneware — reinterpreting heritage through a contemporary material language. A quiet surprise at the table, where nostalgia and modern craft meet.

Nótos collection in pitch blue
Blue has always been part of the history of ceramics. At COSTA NOVA, tradition is not preserved as it is — it is reinterpreted. Heritage as ceramic makers becomes a starting point, where design reshapes the language of the table.
In this dialogue between past and present, Nótos — one of our most contemporary collections — meets blue.

Winter in the Portuguese mountains is often covered in snow. Homes are simple, built of stone, defined by thick walls and small wooden doors and windows.
Once modest, these houses have become secluded winter refuges for a more contemporary way of living.
Nótos appears in this setting as a bridge to the present — introducing a modern language to the table.
Designed by Carsten Gollnick, its modern design is defined by a striking contrast between blue and off-white tones, lending itself to a variety of settings — from urban interiors to country classics, and even the dreamy winter chalet in the mountains.

COSTA NOVA Flagship Store in Porto

Almara is an heirloom-inspired tableware collection, reinterpreted for contemporary gatherings, bringing heritage into the present.
At Casa Cedo in Porto, a Thanksgiving table is thoughtfully set with pieces from the Almara Collection. White dinnerware glows softly in the candlelight, its simplicity elevated by the warm presence of organically shaped Silvina pumpkin casseroles in two sizes, alongside seasonal fresh pumpkins scattered across the table.
As the Thanksgiving table is set, it becomes more than a composition of objects; it is an act of staging togetherness. Here, sharing extends beyond the meal itself, becoming an expression of continuity — of family, of tradition, and of values carried forward and gathered around the table. In this setting, COSTA NOVA reveals its essence with clarity: design that supports presence, connection, and the quiet dignity of everyday rituals made meaningful.
This holiday season is defined by the introduction of the Almara Collection, a curated expression of classic-contemporary tableware designed for moments of gathering. Rooted in timeless references yet expressed through a modern sensibility, the collection merges traditional elegance with a contemporary edge through refined forms, nuanced detailing, and a thoughtfully composed palette of glazes and tones. Predominantly rendered in white, Almara is shaped by a sense of purity and restraint, complemented by select pieces in deep red and antique metal that introduce subtle contrast and depth without disrupting its visual calm.

When a translucent reactive white glaze is applied, the underlying clay subtly reveals itself, bringing a sense of depth and authenticity to each piece. This gentle transparency enhances the organic character of the tableware, adding a touch of natural beauty and reinforcing its handcrafted, timeless appeal.

As the Thanksgiving table is dressed by COSTA NOVA, the setting is completed with Maria table linens, Vite glassware, and Nau flatware in Antique Black, each element adding its own layer of texture, clarity, and contrast.

Forest brings botanical and animal motifs to the table through realistically illustrated leaves and nature-inspired details. Inspired by the colder season, these accent pieces evoke the warmth of shared meals, wrapping the table in a natural and comforting atmosphere.

At the front of Casa Cedo, the Flowershop welcomes guests and visitors daily. A bloom, a warm welcome, a moment of calm. A place to pause, and take home a slice of Casa Cedo — from locally sourced botanicals to thoughtfully chosen pieces and scents.
This setting offered the perfect stage for the photoshoot. Warm wooden shelves, elegant rounded furniture, and a sense of quiet curation created the backdrop for Forest — COSTA NOVA’s newest nature-inspired collection — to be unveiled.
Here, nature is not referenced. It is present.

Opposite page: Forest maple leaf 18 cm | 7” in juniper green and harvest yellow. On the right: Almara dinner plate 28 cm | 11” in pearl, Forest salad/dessert plate 21 cm | 8” in bark brown, Riviera fruit bowl 12 cm | 5” in terra with Nau flatware in antique black, Margarida tumbler 38 cl | 13 fl oz in green and Maria linens in khaki.

Choose pieces that shape the visual narrative of the season. The Silvina collection expands its assortment with three new casseroles in white and terracotta. Equally at home on the table or displayed on kitchen shelves, they bring a sense of functional beauty that enriches both everyday moments and seasonal gatherings.

Accent dessert and salad plates, along with leaf-shaped designs, are conceived as quiet highlights at the table. Placed over your favorite dinner plates, they bring depth, layering, and a subtle sense of play to the setting — introducing a new rhythm to the table. Beyond the table, they move easily into other spaces: thoughtful gifts, or decorative pieces for a plate wall, where their botanical forms become part of the interior landscape.

COSTA NOVA is inspired by nature, bringing it to the table in many forms — through shapes, colors, and glazes. Designs drawn from the world around us translate into pieces that feel both familiar and considered. Meet some of our favorite items, from the natural world to your table.

COSTA NOVA stores are present in four cities — Madrid, on Lagasca Street; Aveiro, its place of origin; Lisbon, on Rua Castilho; and Porto, on Rua Sá da Bandeira.
Beyond tableware, kitchen pieces, and bakeware, the stores unfold as spaces of discovery, filled with objects and gifts intended for shared moments — here is where the best gifts can be found. As the season turns and we leave the city for the villages, returning to family and tradition, a stop at COSTA NOVA becomes part of the ritual.

Almara Collection
In an old stone house brought back to life in the snowy mountains of Gerês, in Portugal, Almara in rubi sets the tone for a table shaped by warmth, gathering, and winter light.

During the holidays, Portuguese families often return to their parents’ and grandparents’ homes in the countryside or mountains, escaping the noise and pace of city life in search of slower days and the comfort of home.
This season, we head for the Gerês mountains, in northern Portugal — a landscape of granite peaks, deep valleys, and dense forests shaped by time and weather. A place of silence and scale, where winter deepens stillness and the sense of refuge.
In a stone house lost among the mountains and wrapped in mist, time feels suspended, as if the world outside has softened into silence. A room filled with Christmas spirit unfolds around a family table, where a white tablecloth sets a calm, luminous base for the season. On top, Almara in rubi brings presence and warmth.

Levada da Breca are two houses along the Levada, a small aldeia in the Gerês mountains where only two permanent residents remain.
Cows still cross the paths, and wild horses move through the landscape as if drawn from imagination. The water that flows here is among the purest to drink, and silence defines the place — broken only by birdsong. The view, whether veiled in mist or covered in snow, is quietly extraordinary.
Nearby, an aldeia called Brufe is home to a longstanding restaurant, O Abocanhado, where visitors deliberately make their way up the mountain for the view and a memorable meal. There are no grocery stores or cafés in the vicinity — only the essentials of nature itself. It feels like a journey into suspended time, where one realizes that nothing more is needed beyond what the landscape offers. Levada da Breca was acquired by Lisbon-based photographer Manuel Gomes da Costa (the photographer behind COSTA NOVA’s imagery), who returns to his family roots in Gerês with a project shaped for future generations.
Inspired by authentic Portuguese villages, COSTA NOVA’s Fall and Holiday 2026 collections reflect a quiet culture of gathering, simplicity and home.

In winter, Levada and Brufe, in Gerês seem suspended between mountain and sky. Snow settles over the stone houses, the winding paths, and the bare trees, softening the landscape into silence.
It is the perfect setting for long meals around the table, where fireplaces remain lit throughout the day and the landscape outside becomes part of the atmosphere within.

There is nothing more comforting than a breakfast shared with love, wrapped in the quiet sentiment of the holidays. As the table is set, the mix of tableware becomes the narrative itself — layered, personal, and alive with memory.

During the holiday season, what matters most is time spent together. Togetherness becomes the essence of the home, where preparation unfolds as one of the quietest, most meaningful rituals.
In the mountain retreat, winter frames a sense of warmth within — gift wrapping, the slow dressing of rooms and tables, the scent of delicious food and freshly baked cookies marking the rhythm of the season. It is in these moments of making that the house comes alive: in cooking and baking, in wrapping presents, in setting the table, and in the anticipation of gathering.
On a simple riser, a composed still life takes shape — Almara dessert plates filled with cookies, soft candlelight, and the textures of wrapping paper and ribbon nearby.
Everyday gestures become part of the scene, where preparation itself turns into celebration, and time together becomes the true centerpiece.

Setting the table is part of a familial ritual. Heirloom objects return to it alongside new tableware pieces, in a quiet layering that defines the joy of the holidays.

Here, in the mountains, there are no urban interruptions. No signage, no noise. Just stone, water, forest, and sky — and the sense that the village is not separate from nature, but part of it.

Trees mean belonging, and in the holidays they hold the spirit of togetherness. Pacifica trees pieces become a tribute to the stillness of winter landscapes — where form is reduced to essence. In their simplicity, they become both functional objects and quiet visual highlights, carrying the stillness of winter trees into the ritual of gathering.

Almara in pearl white
Almara returns in white, brought from our city home to welcome friends for the season between New Year’s celebrations and Epiphany.

In our aldeia, the festive decorations remain in place — kept, as in Portuguese tradition, until January 6, Dia dos Reis (Three Kings’ Day).
As we gather with family and friends, we celebrate the New Year and welcome the spirit of the Three Kings. Beautiful tables are set to honor the season — layered with warmth, light, and intention, where every detail becomes part of the ritual of togetherness.
This festive table, set with Almara dinnerware and serveware in pearl, Prado flatware and Margarida recycled glassware, becomes a place of connection and continuity, where celebration lingers beyond a single night and unfolds gently into Epiphany, as home, tradition, and gathering remain at the heart of the season.
