Meet the Designers
Torres Euracini
A Portuguese designer from Póvoa de Varzim with decades of experience in ceramics. With a degree in Industrial Design and specialized training, he began his career in the 1990s. His designs, primarily for COSTA NOVA and the Costa Nova Industria Group, are renowned for their innovation, creativity, and sustainability. Loved worldwide, they have transformed the ceramics industry.
Carsten Gollnick
Carsten Gollnick, born in 1966, is a German designer who has operated his own studio near Berlin since 1997. His globally recognized portfolio spans a wide range of product and interior designs, from lighting objects to tableware collections. For COSTA NOVA, Gollnick designed the Nótos, Âmbar, Coastland, and Resonance collections, showcasing his innovation and mastery in creating sophisticated, timeless pieces.
Christian Tortu
A French designer deeply inspired by the wild beauty of nature. His designs, influenced by his upbringing in the Anjou region, reflect the untamed essence of the natural world. Tortu’s work, ranging from floral arrangements to scenography, has been celebrated internationally, including at Cannes and for fashion shows with Chanel and Dior. Riviera and Marrakesh are among his creations for COSTA NOVA.
Laetitia Rouget
A French designer raised in a family of porcelain makers, now based near Lisbon. After studying at Central Saint Martins, she ventured into ceramics, textiles, and painting. Her playful and colorful creations blend French charm, London’s quirky edge, and Portuguese warmth, infusing joy and humor into everyday life. Her inspiration led to the creation of the Summer Bliss collection.

We’ve chosen Rosa as a symbol of charm for this spring-summer garden lunch. In setting the table, we drew inspiration from the collection’s beautiful new rose tone, its feminine cutouts, hand-painted rims, and flowing edges. To complete the setting, we’ve selected Sensa glassware, Maria napkins in mint, and Mito flatware to add a touch of modern elegance. Pink roses for Rosa and a hint of local goldenrod bring an informal, natural touch to the arrangement.

The first Sunday lunch with family and friends outdoors in the patio marks a cherished tradition that highlights the arrival of the outdoor season. There’s something special about dining alfresco, surrounded by nature. The fresh air invigorates our spirits, while the warmth of the sun encourages laughter, conversation, and a sense of connection. It’s a time to step away from our busy lives and relish in the joy of shared moments, delicious food, and vibrant surroundings. For this first lunch of the saison, we’ve chosen to set the table with Taormina. Its new reactive glazed colors evoke a sense of joy and capture the essence of sunny days. Inspired by the Algarve dish Ameijoas à Algarvia, this vegan version highlights tender, flavorful carrots, offering a fresh take on Portuguese cuisine.
INGREDIENTS INSTRUCTIONS
• 500g Carrots
• 30g Parsley
• 1 tsp Paprika
• 1 tsp Sweet red pepper powder
• 100g Apple cider vinegar
• 40g Olive oil
• Black pepper, to taste
• Salt, to taste
• 4 cloves garlic
• 1 pinch brown sugar
Start by cooking the carrots in plenty of salted water, and sliced into rounds. When they are al dente, drain the water and set the carrots aside. add the parsley, garlic, vinegar, olive oil, paprika, sweet red pepper powder, and sugar in a food processor, and blend until smooth. Next, place the carrots in a COSTA NOVA bowl and cover them with the sauce, and let them marinate, preferably overnight. Serve with crackers or toasted sourdough bread.
Margarita mocktail
This Margarita Mocktail is a refreshing, flavorful alternative for anyone looking to enjoy a margarita without the alcohol. It’s slightly spicy, citrusy, and perfect for a hot summer day!
INGREDIENTS
• 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
• 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
• 1 cup sparkling water (lime, lemon, or orange)
• 2-3 tablespoons sugar or syrup

INSTRUCTIONS
Rim your glass:

• 200g Cooked Chickpeas

• Juice of 1 Lime

INSTRUCTIONS
Cauliflower
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Cut the cauliflower into florets and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Season with the spices, add salt, and drizzle with olive oil. Roast for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from the oven when golden brown and set aside.
Caramelized chickpeas
In a skillet over medium heat, add the chopped red onion, salt, and garlic powder, stirring until softened and golden. Add the spices (paprika and turmeric to taste) and salt, continuing to stir. Add the cooked chickpeas, stir to combine, and add the agave or rice syrup. Adjust seasoning as needed and remove from heat when golden brown. Set aside.
Satay sauce
In a food processor, combine the roasted peanuts, sesame oil, and a bit of water. Blend until smooth, repeating if necessary. Add the garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, lime juice, cayenne pepper, and coconut milk, then blend again.
