Torrevieja sends 4 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Ukraine
the first two trucks with humanitarian aid destined for Ukraine, as a result of donations by the residents of torrevieja, have been sent off to the central aid logistics centre that the Valencian government established in alicante.
the first shipment contains around 4,000 kilograms of material that was donated at the municipal aid office, coordinated by the department of nGos and Volunteers alongside the association of Ukrainians of torrevieja,
shipment of donations received. the department of nGos and Volunteers announced that, following instructions from the Logistics center for humanitarian aid in alicante, donations of clothing will not be accepted from now on, except for thermal clothing, blankets and quilts. torrevieja’s municipal humanitarian aid collection point for Ukraine is located at calle clemente Gosálvez 24, and is open on monday to saturday from 10.00am to 1.00pm and from 5.00pm to 8.00pm.
