Covid passport may be abolished in March

President of the Valencian Community Ximo Puig revealed that due to the current rate of decline in coronavirus infections that the obligation to present a covid passport may be abolished from March 1st.

Puig said that if the health situation “continues to go as it is right now”, with a big decline in infections and, more importantly, in hospitalizations and iCu occupation, the hope is that more restrictions can be eased. asked about the forthcoming Fallas festival, he pointed out that “there will be some restrictions”, such as the mandatory use of masks. Valencian Community, saying that they have displayed “extraordinary” behaviour. he also said that he wants to “move towards normality” although without forgetting that the virus is still present, saying: “We still have the pandemic.” Meanwhile, news emerged on thursday that the falsification of the vaccination certificate or covid passport would carry a prison sentence of between 6 months and 3 years and that the spanish courts would consider the person who commissions the false covid pass as responsible for the crime. the vaccination certificate is still necessary in spain to access establishments in andalucía (until today, tuesday 15th February), aragon, the Canary islands, the Valencian Community (until tuesday March 1st), Galicia, La Rioja, Murcia, Ceuta and Melilla.
