Genshin, Genshin Impact, that one game from Mihoyo, well, actually, now Hoyoverse? It's a given that Genshin Impact is a game widely known in our school for being what it is: a game that completely consumes your life. Now if you have been hiding under not a rock but a boulder, Genshin Impact is an open-world role-playing game that is undoubtedly the greatest yet worst game ever to be created.

But what is a Genshin Impact addict? Well, to put it simply, it is a player who has an extreme addiction to the game.

This might show up in a variety of ways, such as playing the game for abnormally long periods of time or developing an unhealthy obsession with its characters and mechanics.

Now that we know the basics, we can dive deeper into the real world of Genshin Impact addicts.

Our first few, and most common, responses to the Genshin addiction are that it's just “a huge grind fest” or “a two-minute login and log off every day.”

These were constantly mentioned as a result of the feeling of FOMO—fear of missing out—from dailies to resin caps Genshin has to offer. But here's the thing: how many of you genuinely enjoy playing Genshin without it being a whole chore? But then again, a minority of people expressed that they seriously enjoy doing daily quests, using their resin, and simply grinding for their character builds.

On the flip side, a few people have stated that the Genshin addiction isn't real. BUT IT IS!!! (Trust me bro.)

I pledge to all these opposers that you can ask anyone that plays Genshin and they will say that the addiction IS REAL and is floating around in our school at this very second. If you are still a disagreer even after reading the above I have some more reasons for you people. The game's accessibility contributes to its addictive qualities. Genshin is so accessible internationally because it is free to play, rated 12, and available on all major gaming platforms. (Okay, please tell me that you are now convinced.) :’’)

There is also another big reason why the Genshin addiction can be deadly.

After speaking with a few other students, both inside and outside of Suzanne Cory, the majority of them stated that they had spent more than one hundred dollars on the game, with some even spending more than two hundred.

YOU ARE LOSING REAL MONEY HERE! One of them even said, "I only spent money on the game because I want hot characters." No words. The addiction is so real here.

Genshin is just milking everyone's pockets now. Money, money, money; spend, spend, spend. With just Genshin Impact, MiHoYo generated more than 2 billion Australian dollars in 2022. Their profit is absolutely insane every year and is a result of the Genshin addiction. Our Genshin addiction

Okay but seriously though there is some serious psychology behind this (I think). But subjectively I believe that the Genshin addiction is real (maybe).
