CCW Teams Set Historic MRP Pumping Record

CorpusChristiWaterteamsrecentlyaccomplishedwhathadneverbeenachievedinourCity’shistory:the successfuldeliveryof70milliongallonsofwaterconsecutivelyandcontinuouslythroughMaryRhodes Pipeline(MRP)

Workingacrossthreecriticallocations–LakeTexanaPumpStation,BloomingtonPumpStation,and WoodsboroPumpStation–theteamscollaboratedseamlessly,toincreasefromSchedule3toSchedule4 pumpingcapacity.Thisachievementwasn’tjustimpressive,itwashistoric,ensuringreliablewaterdelivery toover500,000peopleacrosssevencountiesthroughthe143-milepipeline.

ThepathwaytothissuccessbeganwiththeMRP conditionassessmentcompletedinMay2024,which enabledSchedule3pumpinginJune2024 Following MRPupgradescompletedinMarch2025,CCWteams successfullyimplementedSchedule4pumpingon March24 CCWhasbroughtanadditional3billion gallonsofwaterthroughthepipelinesinceincreasing thepumpingschedule

Job: Instrumentation and Electrical Technician I have an electrical journeyman’s license and a TCEQ collections license.

Hobbies: Spending time with my daughter, being outdoors fishing, playing golf or disc golf

What is a typical day like for you? My day normally consists of troubleshooting controls for various plants and lift stations to ensure proper function.

What is something you would like people to know about CCW? I like how CCW will send you to classes for your job if you ask to further your knowledge. It’s an opportunity not many places have,

Job: Utility Technician II. I prep and gather materials for my work with valves and hydrants. Usually end the day dirty and muddy I’ve been with CCW for a year

Alan is a father and holds a Class D water license and a CDL. His dad always told him, “If you ’ re going to do something, do it right the first time.” Alan approaches his work with this same positive attitude. We are lucky to have Alan on Team CCW!
