OPT IN TO RECEIVE SCHOOL MESSENGER TEXTS Our district now has a text option for receiving information via School Messenger. Employees who have not previously indicated agreement to receive information via text may opt in by texting 67587 with message that has “Y” or “Yes” to opt in for receiving messages.

Technology Help Desk The Technology Help Desk is available Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

If you are in need of technology assistance, there are three options for creating a work order: 1. Email HelpDesk@ccisd.us and include room number, asset tag for equipment needing service, and detailed problem or request.

2. Submit a work order using Heat Self Service (on the portal).

Omni Track

CCISD’s Bond 2020 to be on November ballot

CCISD has a new Professional Development tracking system.

OmniTrack, launched on August 3, has replaced Eduphoria!

During the Aug. 10 Board of Trustees meeting, the board approved the district’s recommendation to place a bond initiative on the November ballot. The bond package, which would not increase residents’ taxes, continues the district’s program of replacing or renovating aging campuses.

You will use your active directory name and password to log into the system (computer log in) In addition to professional development, OmniTrack will also track department and campus meetings.

OmniTrack videos and how-to guides are available in the Office of Professional Learning Canvas Course. If your department needs training, please call 695-7510 to make arrangements.

CORPUS CHRISTI INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

The $136.2 million package will include: • New elementary school on the southeast side of Corpus Christi • New campus to accommodate Meadowbrook, Montclair, and Woodlawn • New campus for Weldon Gibson Elementary School • Interior renovations: Moses Menger Elementary School • Interior renovations: W.B. Ray High School • Interior renovations: Roy Miller High School District representatives will attend campus and community meetings throughout the fall, primarily in virtual forums, to share complete details. In the coming weeks, bond information will also be available on the district’s website, on district social media accounts and in other campus and district communications.

Early voting is Oct. 13-30, with Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

The district’s Administration Building and various campuses will serve as voting centers.

Above The Line Nominations

As we begin our new school year, we are launching the 2020-2021 Above the Line Employee Recognition Program!

This program recognizes those who exceed expectations for students, parents, community members and/or fellow employees.

Any CCISD employee may submit nominations for recognition. Nominees must meet the following objectives, all of which fully support the CCISD mission, vision and district goals: • Empowerment (See it. Own it. Solve it. Do it.)

• Students First (Their success is our success.)

• Shared Vision, Shared Values (Personifies “Together we succeed.”)

There are three award recipients every month, in each of the following categories: • Educator & Other Professional • Administrator (Certified/Professional) • Auxiliary & Support Staff Nominations are always open for Above the Line employee recognitions. Please note this important update to CCISD’s face coverings expectations: Face coverings include non-medical grade disposable masks, cloth masks, or full-face shields. All face coverings must cover the wearer’s nose and mouth. Face shields must go past the wearer’s chin and wrap around the sides of the face. Valve masks are not allowed. Face covering requirements are subject to change based on CDC guidelines.

Wellness reimbursements for CCISD employees Employees who have enrolled in MetLife Cancer, United Health Care Accident and/or Voya Critical Illness and have had some form of Wellness Check-up can submit for a wellness reimbursement of up to $100 annually.

Employees can go here to obtain the forms necessary for the reimbursements.

CCISD Employee Discount at Six Flags

CCISD has partnered with H-E-B for the 2020 flu shot clinics. All employees covered by the District’s BlueCross BlueShield Medical Plan can obtain the following vaccines at no cost: • Flu Shot – All employees of all ages • Shingles – For employees age 50+ • Pneumonia – For employees age 50+ • TDaP – Tetanus/Boostrix – For all employees at least once every 10 years.

• Employees will need to take their BCBS ID Card to the clinic of their choice. Employees may go to any H-E-B as well.
