On Jan. 20, the Office of Student Health Services offered free, voluntary COVID-19 rapid testing to employees. Our nurses administered 80 tests. We may have additional testing dates later in the school year, and will keep you posted regarding future opportunities.

We welcome Diana Villarreal to our Advanced Academics team. Diana will serve as the Title I Program Specialist for Advanced Academics. Diana will work directly with Title I schools to help further improve enrollment and academic success in advanced courses.

Annual United Way campaign Participate in our annual workplace campaign benefitting United Way of the Coastal Bend, a local nonprofit committed to improving lives in the areas of health, education and financial stability.

CCEF Hearts & Minds Virtual 5K Participants will have from Jan. 29 – Feb. 28 to complete the 5K run/walk on their own time. Thanks to our generous sponsors this event is free of charge for all CCISD students. Parents and community members can join the virtual 5K by registering and paying the entry fee.

The 2019-2020 Honor Roll recognizes public elementary, middle, and high schools that demonstrate high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement over time, and reduction in achievement gaps. Wellness reimbursements for CCISD employees Employees who have enrolled in the MetLife Cancer, United Healthcare Accident and/or VOYA Critical Illness plan(s) and have had some form of a wellness check-up, can submit a wellness reimbursement form directly to the company for up to $100 annually. The forms are located via the Wellness link in the Employee Benefits website. Retirement presentation available online If you were unable to attend the retirement workshop at the VMHS Auditorium or via Zoom earlier this month, you may view the PowerPoint presentation under the Retirement link in the Employee Benefits website. We regret that there were technical difficulties in the recording of the Zoom presentation; however, the PowerPoint is available to employees only by signing in through the Employee Portal at www.ccisd.us.
