Operation K.E.Y.S. Walk

On Sept. 5, CCISD employees and community volunteers joined forces for the annual K.E.Y.S. Walk, working to guide out-of-school youth back toward their educational journey. Teams of volunteers fanned out across the city, going door-to-door to meet with families and students, offering encouragement and support to help them reconnect with school and learning opportunities.

Flu/Vaccine clinic information

H-E-B will be in our District starting Monday, September 8 through Friday, October 3, to provide flu shots and other vaccines. The Clinic Schedule is attached.

Registration:

• H-E-B pharmacy requires most CCISD clinic locations to meet a minimum requirement of 20 participants. If the minimum is not met using the registration links on the schedule, the clinic is subject to cancellation per H-E-B and your campus will be notified. You and your covered dependents are welcome to go to any H-E-B to receive vaccines.

Cost:

• Employees and dependents enrolled in the District’s group health plan with Blue Cross Blue Shield may receive the flu shot, the pneumonia vaccine, shingles, the tetanus booster, and the COVID booster from H-E-B at no cost.

Costs for the five (5) vaccines for employees who do not have the District’s group health plan is:

• Flu shot - $134.00

• COVID Booster $176.00

• Pneumonia Vaccine $318.27

• Tetanus Booster* (Boostrix) - $60.48

• Shingrix Shingles – $256.18 (1 dose, 2 dose series)

• *The tetanus booster includes the vaccine that protects from pertussis (whooping cough) and stops the spread of whooping cough to others, such as babies and small children who have not yet been immunized. What do I need to do?
