District leaders recently announced the August Above the Line winners! Four honorees were surprised at their work locations with the announcement they were selected. Congratulations!
Sylvia Gutierrez, Substitute Sylvia serves with intent by hitting the ground running with any task and is always ready to learn her new department. Sylvia quickly assimilates herself to any assignment she is given. Many administrators who she has substituted for regard her as their number one choice when needed.

Orlando Prieto, P.E. Coach, Fannin Elementary School Orlando empowers minds by keeping student’s success in mind. He wants every student to succeed and makes sure there are opportunities for all. Orlando wants to ensure that every student understands the importance of physical education and gets an opportunity to be active in a safe manner.
Maria Torres, Head Custodian, Menger Elementary School Maria serves with intent every day. She takes pride in her work. She takes initiative to model our high expectations and utilizes her time wisely. Her work ethic and attention to detail make our team proud of the work she does to keep our school in excellent shape.
Chris Hall, Principal, Driscoll Middle School Mr. Hall shapes the future by putting his school community first. He cares deeply for students and knows that most come from challenging circumstances. He works hard to ensure that at his school, his students have an environment to thrive in. Mr. Hall is involved heavily with students and parents to forge strong connections.
