COVID-19 TESTING COVID-19 testing for CCISD staff and students is available at Lozano Instructional Service Center. Clinic hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Appointments may be scheduled online. Walk-ins are based on availability. Parent authorization is required for students under 18.

During a Special Called Board Meeting on Monday, Nov. 21, CCISD’s board members and district officials welcomed three newly elected board members. The Honorable Henry A. Santana, Nueces County Justice of the Peace 1-2 and a CCISD retiree, administered the oath of office to Marty Bell, Dolly Gonzales Trolley and Eric Villarreal. They will each serve four-year terms. Bell previously served on the Board of Trustees from 2016-2020. He is a Mary Carroll High School graduate and a retired CCISD educator and coach. He will serve District 3. Gonzales Trolley, previously appointed to the Board of Trustees in 2021 to fill an unexpired term, was elected to serve District 4. She is a fundraising consultant, a community volunteer and is active in her children’s schools: Windsor Park Elementary School and Marvin Baker Middle School. Villarreal, elected to serve District 1, is a licensed professional engineer. He is the parent of a W.B. Ray High School graduate, a Ray student and a Metro Elementary School of Design student. He is active in their schools. During the meeting, board members canvassed election returns, confirming the passage of Bond 2022.
