SCHOOL BOARD In compliance with 89th Texas Legislature, SB 12, parents may submit comments to the Board via email: schoolboard@ccisd.us.

ATHLETICS Beginning July 1, all CCISD athletic events will transition to online ticketing.

Fans can purchase tickes by scanning QR codes at each venue, ahead of time online through the CCISD Athetics website or through the HomeTown Fan app on your smartphone.

Congratulations to Tiffany Garza of Kaffie Middle School for being named a finalist for the AVID Teacher of the Year award as part of the AVID Global Achievement Awards.

The AVID Secondary Teacher of the Year award recognizes an AVID Elective or Site Team teacher who has made exceptional contributions to the implementation and advancement of the AVID College and Career Readiness System, helping students build the skills and confidence needed for future success. Award winners will be announced this December in Atlanta.

Additionally, Cunningham Middle School at South Park and Driscoll Middle School were validated as AVID National Demonstration Campuses.

Sanders Elementary School teacher honored at City Hall Congratulations to Sanders Elementary teacher Jennifer Garcia!

With 18 years of service to CCISD, Garcia has supported students across multiple grade levels throughout her career.

She believes building strong connections with students at every stage of learning is an important part of helping them succeed She was named Sanders Elementary Teacher of the Year in 2018 and received the TIA Master Teacher designation in 2024.

Celebrating First in Family graduates

The Corpus Christi Education Foundation (CCEF) hosted the CCISD First in Family Graduate Ceremony. This event honored 182 students who are the first in their families to earn a high school diploma.

First in Family graduates from every high school campus were recognized during the ceremony. The district also welcomed guests from the community, as well as event sponsors including CITGO Corpus Christi Refinery and Frost Wealth Management.

CITGO Corpus Christi Refinery awarded a $1,000 college scholarship to 15 First in Family graduates. Citgo’s $15,000 contribution in support of higher education is an annual tradition established through the education foundation.
