Our annual climate survey runs through 4:30 p.m., Monday, March 30. This is our annual opportunity to get feedback from staff, families and the community so we may continue to improve the Corpus Christi ISD experience. Please complete the survey using the Corpus Christi ISD Climate Survey link. If you prefer, you may also access the survey from the homepage at ccisd.us. Electronic W-2 forms available

Electronic copies of 2025 W-2 forms are available on Employee Online. You may access the form via Connect.ccisd.us, using the same process you follow to retrieve your employee pay stub.

How to access the forms:

• Go to: Connect.ccisd.us

• Click on: Staff Login

• Log in using your CCISD credentials

• Click on: Employee Information

• Click on: Employee Timesheets and Pay

• Select option: Pay Stubs (Employee Online)

• Click on: Menu

• Click on: Payroll Information

• Under “Tax Forms” column, click on “W-2”

In this section you will find your current W-2 along with those from previous years.

H.R. 1 (called the “One Big Beautiful Bill”) created a rule “No Tax on Overtime” that let’s workers deduct some of their overtime pay from their taxes. This amount will be listed on your 2025 W-2 form in Box 14 as “OT”. If you have any questions, please contact the Payroll Department at 6957339 or payroll@ccisd.us.

March Above the Line winners

CCISD has a Leadership Definition, which we use to select Above the Line employee of the month winners. District leaders recently announced Above the Line employee of the month winners! Honorees were surprised at their work locations with the announcement they were selected. Nominate someone who goes Above the Line

Albert Mendonza, Teacher, Zavala Elementary School

Mr. Mendoza follows the definition by Developing Hearts. He consistently demonstrates deep compassion and respect for students, particularly those with special education needs. He builds trusting relationships by meeting students where they are—academically, emotionally and behaviorally. His passion for supporting SPED students is evident in the way he ensures they feel valued, understood and capable.

Mele Charles, Substitute

Ms. Charles follows the definition by Shaping the Future. She understands that her role touches families during some of their most difficult moments. She approaches her work with compassion, professionalism and purpose. Through her dedication and care, Ms. Charles makes a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of the families she serves.

Jennifer Smith, Paraprofessional, Sanders Elementary School

Ms. Smith follows the definition by Shaping the Future. she champions a positive culture at Sanders by coming every day with a smile, ready to serve. As she guides students in meaningful lesson practice and activities, she coaches them to persevere through challenges to their next level of learning. She cheers students on as they learn, encouraging them to say, “I will keep trying.”

Jessica Cuellar, Assistant Principal, Carroll High School

Ms. Cuellar follows the definition by Empowering Minds. She prioritizes growth and resiliency by collaborating closely with the English department and instructional coach to implement strategies grounded in student data. She consistently goes above and beyond by offering support, insight and feedback to fellow assistant principals and departments. Her dedication and leadership have created a sense of joy and honor across Tiger Nation.

District hosts Partners in Education

This week, the district proudly recognized the recipients of the 2025–2026 Partners in Education Awards with a special luncheon at the Mary Carroll High School Arena. The annual event honors businesses, organizations, and individuals who have made significant contributions to CCISD through dedicated service, impactful partnerships, and volunteerism. Board President Dolly Gonzales Trolley led the ceremony, extending heartfelt thanks and recognition to all honorees and attendees for their unwavering support of CCISD students and staff.

• High School Support Award: Sergeant Harold Mallory – Texas Highway Patrol

Elliott Grant Middle School honored as “School to Watch”

Elliott Grant Middle School Principal Raymond Garza has been recognized through the Texas Schools to Watch Program. The recognition recognizes strong leadership, high expectations and unwavering commitment to student success.
