Numerous join Team CCISD!
More than 100 applicants stopped by Moody High School on June 7 for the District Job Fair. During the fair, 70 people joined Team CCISD. We welcome our new employees! New employees include teachers, paraprofessionals, custodians, cafeteria helpers, police officers, bus drivers and bus attendants.

In the Board Room: June 5 Board of Trustees Meeting
During the June 5 Board of Trustees meeting, the board recognized employees for their accomplishments this school year.
Board members recognized:
• Megan Butler, H-E-B Excellence in Education Semifinalist
• American Heart Association Heart of Gold Principals
Free summer meals
The Office of Food Services will be serving free breakfast and lunch to all children between the ages of 1-18 beginning June 12.

Elementary, middle school teachers named Corpus Christi Mayor’s Teacher of the Month
Los Encinos Elementary School first grade teacher Emma Vrana was honored as Mayor Guajardo’s Teacher of the Month.
Lia Jordan, language arts teacher at Adkins Middle School, was also honored as Teacher of the Month. Jordan was also a district teacher of the year finalist. Both were presented with a certificate of commendation.
