ATHLETICS
Beginning July 1, all CCISD athletic events will transition to online ticketing. Fans can purchase tickes by scanning QR codes at each venue, ahead of time online through the CCISD Athetics website or through the HomeTown Fan app on your smartphone.

Denise Caldera named Regional Elementary Teacher of the Year
Congratulations to Denise Caldera, kindergarten teacher at Galvan Elementary School, on being named the Education Service Center (ESC) Region 2 Elementary Teacher of the Year!
She was honored during the ESC Region 2 Teacher of the Year celebration alongside CCISD Secondary Teacher of the Year, Martha Buendia, of King High School.
Mrs. Caldera will now advance to the Texas Teacher of the Year competition, where she will represent Region 2. Congratulations, Mrs. Caldera! We are incredibly proud of this well-deserved honor.

There’s a lot of great “gossip” going around… and this time, it’s all good!
Our Positive Gossip campaign is all about celebrating the incredible moments happening across our district. Gossip ranging from inspiring teachers and standout students to exciting campus events.
We’ve already shared stories like a mother-daughter teaching duo at Rose Shaw Elementary, a Solomon M. Coles High School teacher featured in The Bend Magazine, and a Mary Carroll High School student who saved a life using CPR.

Leadership Definition
Corpus Christi ISD, in partnership with The Holdsworth Center, created a leadership definition to guide the how of our work in support of the district’s mission and vision.

Safety training and compliance videos
The District has a NEW vendor to deliver the safety training & compliance videos to meet the training requirements for Texas public school districts.
Beginning Monday, July 13, all employees will receive the initial email from PublicSchool WORKS with a link and self-guided login instructions to begin the 2026-2027 Training Plan. The videos will be different, you will see a different logo, you will be required to test on the topic, but what will not be different is the mandatory requirement of completing all trainings. It is important to complete the trainings as soon as you can so you will have the adequate training and information for success in the new school year.
