Food Services continues to keep students’ bellies full this summer. Our dedicated staff has been cooking up and serving breakfast and lunch for summer school and other summer programs. Free meals are also served children in the area at several district campuses. #TeamCCISD

Coastal Compass enrollment event Coastal Compass will host a free virtual enrollment event at 5 p.m. July 22.

Advisors will help adults enroll in school/college, register for classes and apply for financial aid.

District names Director of Student Support Services, campus principals Corpus Christi ISD has named Delma Bernal as director of the Office of Student Support Services. Bernal, who most recently served as an assistant principal at Robert Driscoll Middle School, will oversee the district’s registration system as well as attendance and disciplinary matters.

Bernal holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of West Florida and a master’s from Regent University. Additionally, she has extensive experience as a physical education teacher and a coach as well as a special education teacher.

Rachel Neff was named principal of Cunningham Middle School at South Park.

Neff, who most recently served as a principal in Robstown ISD, has also been an assistant principal at CCISD’s Cullen Middle School and Robert Driscoll Middle School.

Neff holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and a master’s from the University of Houston. An educator since 2005, the majority of Neff’s experience is in secondary education.

Kimberly Ellis was named principal of Joseph T. Dawson Elementary School. Ellis, who most recently served as assistant principal of Faye Webb Elementary School, also has served the district as a special education teacher.

Ellis holds an associate’s degree in deaf education from Del Mar College, a bachelor’s in interdisciplinary students from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, and a master’s in educational administration, also from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

Family Counseling Service resumes in-person services In-person services have resumed for all clients of Family Counseling Service.
