Campuses name top picks for 2019 Teacher of the Year nominees

Fifty-eight teachers have been nominated by their campuses for this year’s Teacher of the Year program. The annual awards program recognizes top educators from each CCISD campus. Candidates are asked to submit an application as part of the district-wide program. Over the next few weeks, the Teacher of the Year Selection committee will review nominees’ submitted essays. In early February, the committee will narrow the selection to the top 15 semifinalists and request additional essay submissions. From the semifinalists, the committee will select six finalists and conduct interviews in March. A news conference announcing the winners will be held on Tuesday, March 19. All nominees and their guests will be invited to the 2019 Teacher of the Year Banquet set for Wednesday, April 17, at the American Bank Center. Click here to view the listing of campus nominees.
iAchieve Partners in Education Awards CCISD will honor award recipients at the iAchieve Partners in Education Recognition & Awards Banquet on Thursday, March 28, 2019, at the Solomon P. Ortiz International Center. This event is a showcase of exemplary partnerships throughout our district and recognizes school donors, volunteers, CCISD employees and students. Schools and departments who nominated an award winner will be invited to attend and to select a student to participate in the presentation of each award.
