CCISD Counselors win CREST Award Dr. D. Scott Elliff Scholarship Award 2024 Looking for financial support to help complete your college degree or teaching certification? The Dr. D. Scott Elliff Scholarship Award was established to support CCISD staff who are attending classes to earn a college degree to become an educator or, if degree has already been received, need to obtain a State Teaching Certification. The scholarship award amount is $500.

Adkins Middle School, Kolda Elementary School, Moody High School, and Oak Park Elementary recently were honored with the CREST Award.

The CREST Award (counselors reinforcing excellence for students in Texas) has recognized our school counselors for exemplifying implementation of comprehensive developmental counseling services.

We are #CCISDproud for these four campuses representing excellence in counseling and commitment to student growth and success.

Eligibility: • Three years employed with CCISD. • Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university.

• Or needing to obtain State Teaching Certification must have degree from an accredited college or university.

Teacher Fellowship Award 2024

Do you need Professional Development Training for Pre-AP or AP this summer? The CCISD Teacher Fellowship Award funds registration and some travel expenses for CCISD teachers to attend College Board approved professional development courses in PreAP or AP at sum¬mer institutes or seminars in Texas. Awards vary in value depending on requests, up to approximately $1,500.

Eligibility: • Five years teaching experience • Three years teaching in CCISD • Currently teaching a secondary PreAP or AP course, seeking to increase or improve mastery of subject matter.

Would you like in-district daycare?

Good news! CCISD is exploring the possibility of offering infant to age two daycare to employees at the established programs on our five high school campuses, which would also continue to serve our student parents. If approved, the employee program would be a collaboration with Workforce Solutions, and fees would follow a sliding scale.

If you have children in this age range, please help us determine interest in this possible new employee benefit! Participate in this one-question survey and respond “yes” or “no” to indicate your level of interest.
