Congratulations, November Above the Line Winners! District leaders recently announced the November 2023 Above the Line employees. Four honorees were surprised at their work locations with the announcement they were selected. Do you know an employee who goes Above the Line? Nominate them! Jo-Len Perkins, Substitute Mrs. Perkins has been such an awesome asset to the PALS program. Her creative approach to problem solving and student behaviors is unparalleled, and she has taken on so many important roles. She always helps foster growth in students as she urges them to problem solve creatively.

Rita Samaniego, Paraprofessional, Kostoryz Elementary Ms. Samaniego is often found preparing lesson materials, decorating the classroom hallway or finding new ways to address student needs. She is an exceptional educator who consistently puts students first. Her boundless enthusiasm for teaching is a beacon of light for all who have the privilege of working with her.
Michelle Albornoz, Speech Pathologist, Hicks Elementary Michelle is an exceptional Speech-Language Pathologist who serves many campuses across the district. She strives to provide the best services for her students and parents by being open and kind. She supports students and staff with her whole heart and goes above and beyond to ensure students are served with fidelity and understanding.
Linda Arroyo, Assistant Principal, Grant Middle School Ms. Arroyo is amazing at her job. She shows up early every day and is always willing to do whatever is needed. She solves about 1,000 things a day and still keeps our students first. She is also one of our students’ biggest cheerleaders. Ms. Arroyo commands respect and admiration from staff and students and is a rockstar at her job.
