Family fun at Open House
Sam Houston Elementary School opened its doors to parents, but not the parents you may be thinking of. The Bobcats hosted an open house for families of teachers and staff. The event was an opportunity for staff to show off their classrooms and campus to their families. Families also got a chance to see their loved ones CCISD family.

2023 Operation K.E.Y.S.
Volunteers are needed for the 2023 Operation K.E.Y.S. (Keeping Every Youth in School) Walk! The operation is a dropout recovery walk in which volunteers visit homes of out-ofschool youth and reconnect them with educational opportunities. The walk begins with a rally at 9 a.m. Sept. 9 at Moody High School.
There will also be an Operation K.E.Y.S. Phone Bank on Aug. 29. The event will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Administration Building.

The Purple Star Campus Designation program recognizes Texas public schools for their exceptional commitment to supporting and meeting the needs of military-connected students and their families.

2023 CCISD immunization clinic information
H-E-B will begin their immunization clinic from Monday, Aug. 21 to Friday, Sept. 29. H-E-B will provide flu shots and other vaccines.

Honoring our veterans

Employees and spouses enrolled in the district’s group health plan with Aetna may receive the flu shot, the pneumonia vaccine, shingles vaccine, tetanus booster and the COVID-19 booster from H-E-B at no cost. Bring your Aetna ID card and a completed vaccine consent form to the flu/vaccine clinic. If you do not have your Aetna ID card, register on www.Aetna.com or call 1-888-220-1017. Cost for vaccines for employees who do not have the district’s group health plan:
• Flu shot- $29.99
• Monovalent (COVID-19) vaccine - Price to be determined.
• Pneumovax 23 vaccine - $127.60
• Tetanus Booster* (Boostrix) - $57.15
• Shingrix Shingles - $218.02 (1 dose - 2 dose series)
