Dr. Kimberly James finalist for Willis ISD Superintendent of Schools
With more than three decades in public education, Dr. James brings significant experience in curriculum design, professional development and school leadership.
“I am thrilled for the opportunity to serve as superintendent of Willis ISD and to partner with the employees, parents and community as we soar to new heights and uncover new horizons,” said Dr. James. “Joining a community that values family, children and faith as much as I do is a dream come true for me.”

New campus leaders for the 2024 - 2025 school year
CCISD has named Sarah Owen principal of Marvin Baker Middle School, effective the 2024-2025 school year. She currently serves as principal of James W. Fannin Elementary School.
Owen will take the helm from Principal John Dobbins, the school’s leader since 2015, who recently announced his retirement, effective the end of the 2023-2024 school year.
Additionally, CCISD is pleased to announce that Danny Noyola Jr. will lead Paul R. Haas Middle School. He currently serves as principal of Dr. J.A. Garcia Elementary School.
Noyola follows Principal Anna Fuentes, who has announced her upcoming retirement. In addition to Haas, Fuentes’ career with CCISD includes leading South Park Middle School.

2024 Partners in Education
Corpus Christi ISD announced the winners of the 2023 - 2024 Partners in Education Awards during a luncheon at the Solomon P. Ortiz Center. This event recognizes businesses, organizations and individuals who support CCISD through contributions and volunteerism.
