COVID-19 TESTING
COVID-19 testing for CCISD staff and students is available at Lozano Instructional Service Center. Clinic hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Appointments may be scheduled online. Walk-ins are based on availability.

The 37th Annual Teacher of the Year celebration was truly a star-studded event! All campus Teacher of the Year winners were honored during the ceremony on April 12. We also gave attendees a behind the scences look at the impact of our district Elementary Teacher of the Year and Secondary Teacher of the Year.

Congratulations, Above the Line winners!
CCISD PD Safety Corner
CCISD requires all campuses to conduct one safety drill per six weeks. The next campus safety drill is due April 14, 2023.
This drill is a lockdown drill for a weather emergency. Campuses that need assistance may contact the officer who serves their campus or call 361-878-2852.
Superintendent Dr. Roland Hernandez recently announced the March 2023 Above the Line employees. Three honorees were surprised at their work locations with the announcement they had been selected. Do you know an employee who goes Above the Line? Nominate them!
Maurice Bastian – Miller HS SPED Inclusion Teacher/ Head Basketball Coach
Coach Bastian is an amazing teacher, coach and person. He is always checking on his students and is ready to help anyone on campus. He is committed to his campus, students and colleagues. He pushes his students to succeed both in the classroom and on the basketball court. He believes in being part of the overall success of this campus. He is a true asset to Miller High School.
Jolanda Vasquez – Martin
Middle School Principal
Mrs. Vasquez is invested in the Martin community and works hard to build relationships with students. She invests her time in building relationships and becoming an effective instructional leader. She knows her students by name and takes every opportunity to recognize their efforts. Everything she does is for and with teachers’ voice and input in mind. She truly believes in hard work and teamwork.
Crystal Ruth – Paraprofessional, Hamlin Middle School
Crystal works hard to help students and staff alike. She is always willing to help anyone in need, whether it is helping in a classroom or at a campus sporting event. She helps others feel comfortable and welcome at Hamlin Middle School. Ms. Ruth treats all students like they are her students and believes their success contributes to the campus’ success. She truly leads by the example that “together we succeed.”
