Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in U.S. history. We are excited to see campuses across the district celebrate in different ways including sharing History Channel facts with students, free-write prompt assignments, creating a school Civil Rights Hall of Fame, collages and even trivia! Employee requests Auxiliary Job Fair for campus reassignment for 2021-22 school year Applications for reassignment for the 2021-22 school year will be accepted from Monday, Feb. 1, through Sunday, Feb. 28, using the CCISD online Application for Reassignment.

Reassignment requests offer current employees the opportunity to make themselves available for reassignment, in the event that positions exist. The reassignment request lets other principals/directors know that employees are interested in being assigned to their campus.

Last call: annual United Way campaign Participate in our annual workplace campaign benefitting United Way of the Coastal Bend, a local nonprofit committed to improving lives in the areas of health, education and financial stability.

Print, complete and sign the onepage donation form. Submit your form to your supervisor no later than Tuesday, February 9.

CORPUS CHRISTI INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

We will hold an Auxiliary Job Fair from 9 a.m. – noon Feb. 10 at the Foy H. Moody High School gym.

We will conduct on-site interviews for custodians, site maintenance helpers, athletics field crew, cafeteria helpers, bus drivers/bus attendants. Share the Facebook event with your friends and family. #JoinCCISD

CCISD Curbside Grab n’ Go Program CCISD would like to remind the entire community about our free curbside meal service at the six comprehensive CCISD High Schools (Carroll, King, Miller, Moody, Ray, Veterans Memorial).

Free curbside meals are being provided to any child between the ages of 1 and 18, who is not attending school on campus. The child does not have to be a CCISD student to receive curbside meals.

If the child is not in the vehicle, please have a birth certificate, school documentation or guardianship verification available.

• WEDNESDAY – 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (3 breakfasts and 3 lunches provided for each child)

Free COVID-19 testing for employees Thank you to our Office of Student Health Services, who will offer free COVID-19 rapid testing from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday, February 15th in the Lozano cafeteria, 1761 Hudson Street.

There will be 180 appointment slots available. Morning appointments will be available for central office staff and afternoon appointments will be available for campus staff.

Pre-registration is required by calling the office of Student Health Services at 361-878-2680 option 4. Preregistration will end Friday, February 12, at 4:30 pm.

Testing is voluntary, free and open to employees only. Employees will need to clock out, and may include their lunch break time as part of their time away from their workspace. Please work with your supervisor to ensure adequate office coverage.

During your appointment, you will receive instructions on how to swab your nostril. A nurse will complete the test, and you will receive an email with your results within a few hours.

Appointments will generally take 5-10 minutes, with areas sanitized between persons. A video of the test process may be viewed by clicking here.
