COVID-19 employee survey On March 21, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) posted updated guidance on medical examination in the workplace under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to ensure employers are complying with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on how best to slow the spread of COVID-19 and protect employees and others.

Under the current circumstances, employers can ask employees to complete a survey on whether they would be unable to come to work because of their own or a family member’s health condition.

However, any medical information an employer obtains will be kept confidential in accordance with the ADA. Please complete the COVID-19 Survey if you: • traveled to a “hot spot” while the District has been closed to the public, • suspect you may have been exposed to, or are showing symptoms of, or tested positive for, the novel coronavirus, or • have a family member who is confirmed as having COVID-19.

CCISD honors those lost this year to COVID-19:

Research shows that most adults will gain an average one to two pounds through the holiday season. Too many holiday parties leave little time for planning healthy meals or sticking to a regular exercise schedule.

Insurance ID cards ID cards for the 2021 insurances remain the same; therefore, if you currently have the health, dental, and vision plan for this year, continue using the same ID card for 2021. Staying safe over the holidays As cases continue to increase, the safest way to celebrate the winter holidays is to celebrate at home with the people you live with. Enjoy the holidays and take steps to protect yourself from getting or spreading COVID-19. Learn more on the CDC website.

CCISD Retirement Workshop Are you thinking this will be the year you retire?

Are you getting close or just want to learn more about TRS? CCISD has partnered with Elite Plus to present an “Understanding TRS” meeting.

Elite Plus, CCISD’s 457 retirement plan provider, will explain how the TRS process works and answer your questions regarding retirement health insurance, beneficiary options, expected monthly TRS payments and more.
