In the Board Room: April 13
During the April 13 Board of Trustees Meeting, the Board recognized district staff members. Among those recognized were February and March Above the Line winners and staff of Purple Heart Designated Campuses as part of Month of the Military Child recognition.
The Board also had a Special Called Meeting - Budget Workshop on Monday. During that meeting, the board held a budget workshop.
During the Regular Board of Trustees Meeting, the board approved the following:
• Reduce costs for HVAC upgrades at Webb and Zavala elementary schools.
• Reduce costs for HVAC upgrades at Coles High School, Mary Grett Transition Center and Metro Elementary School of Design.
• Purchase and installation of miscellaneous classroom, office and collaborative furniture for various campuses.
The board also received an update on the Guidance Services Program.

PreK registration event welcomes little learners
Families got a head start on their educational journey at Saturday’s PreK Registration Event. Future students explored hands-on activities that gave them a glimpse into the PreK classroom.
Parents received support from CCISD staff, making the registration process smooth. PreK teachers and team members were also on hand to answer questions, helping families feel confident and informed as they prepare for the upcoming school year.
Thank you to all CCISD staff who dedicated their time and energy to making this event a welcoming and successful experience for our future learners and their families.
