TELL US WHAT MOVES YOU! Delta is developing a new Parks, Recreation & Culture Master Plan (the Plan) to ensure that our parks, facilities, programs, and services continue to meet the needs of the community—now and for the next 25 years. Residents are invited to get involved! We want to know what moves YOU—what inspires you to play, create, and connect in Delta. Read on to learn more about this work and how to get involved.

What Is It?

What Shapes the Plan?

The Plan is a long-term guiding document that will shape how Delta grows and designs its programs, services, amenities, and facilities over the next 25 years. It will reflect the needs of people of all ages and backgrounds, helping to shape a city where everyone can find ways to live healthy and connected lives. You can see how the Plan fits within Delta’s broader strategic framework. Official Community Plan

There are several key sections that will work together to guide Delta’s future Parks, Recreation & Culture planning: • Current State Assessment: A look at what the City currently offers and how services are being used. • Key Challenges and Opportunities: An overview of the main issues and possibilities to help shape planning. • Community Engagement Summary: A summary of what we heard from the community. • Vision and Priorities: A direction for where we’re headed and what we aim to achieve. • Strategic Recommendations: Actions to improve programs, spaces, and services across Delta. • Cost and Timelines: High-level costing to support long-term planning and investment decisions.

Developing the Plan With You Community involvement is essential to developing the Plan! This is a big project and by understanding what moves YOU, we can make sure the plan moves the City forward in the right direction. In the first phase of engagement, we’re asking residents to share their parks, recreation, and culture needs to help shape a plan that reflects how people play, create, and connect in Delta. Here’s how we plan to connect with you. • Pop-ups at major community events

• Online feedback form for residents

• Focus groups related to accessibility and inclusivity

• Forming a team of volunteers to connect with residents

• Meetings with community partners and interested groups
