National Swimming Championships

Congratulations to Emily Willett (Year 10) who competed in the National Swimming Championships in April. Emily swam in 4 Open Para events and achieved 2 PB’s. In the 50m Breaststroke she won the Bronze medal and was the only South Australian to win a medal in the Open category – this is a fantastic achievement.

In the Multi Class Age Nationals, Emily swam 9 events making her a finalist in 5 and swimming 4 PBs. Emily also had the opportunity to meet many Paralympic Swimmers during the Championships.

Water Polo Australian Youth Championships

Over the Easter Break, Beau Walsh (Year 8) represented South Australia at the Australian Youth Championship for Water Polo held this year in Brisbane. Beau’s 14&U team competed alongside teams from all over Australia and managed 5th in their division. Highlights for Beau was taking to the field in all 7 games, scoring a goal as well as winning a “swim up” at the start of a quarter to give his team the first advantage.

Ballarat International Horse Trials

Congratulations to Chelsea Clarke (Year 11) who competed in the Ballarat International Horse Trials in early May. It was a very cold and wet weekend but that could not stop Chelsea and squggles who won in their class.

South Australian Student Representative Council (SA SRC)

We are pleased to announce Karlie Grace (Year 12) and Kasey Taylor (Year 10) have been selected to the inaugural South Australian Student Representative Council (SA SRC). Congratulations Karlie and Kasey. We wish you both well on your journey as change leaders for the young people of the College and the wider community.
