Success & Achievements
Jesse Nunan (Year 7) The National AFL U12 championships was held 8-12 August in Adelaide. Jesse was selected in a 23 man SA State team over 250 other players who trialled. SA went through the carnival undefeated winning all 5 games to win a gold medal. This is the first time Victoria had been beaten in 11 years. Jesse was a strong performer throughout the week and enjoyed the experience. Sienna McClean (Year 11) Congratulations to Sienna who graduated from the Adelaide Cabaret Festival “Class of Cabaret 2022” on Friday, 8 July. “The Class of Cabaret course was one of the most rewarding and fun experiences. Through an application and audition process I was selected as one of the participants for this program. Beginning at the start of this year, we aimed to create our own short cabaret set to be performed as a show in the Adelaide Cabaret Festival. With mentoring from industry professionals and many rehearsals throughout, I developed my skills as a performing artist greatly. The other students participating were so incredibly talented and likeminded, and I made many friendships that I’m sure will last a long time. I cannot recommend this program more to anyone even remotely interested in the performing arts. Sienna McClean
Congratulations to the four Year 7 Cornerstone College students who represented country in the last weekend of July as part of the State Soccer Identification and Development Program. The boys were part of a 24 player squad which was selected from 160 players at a Carnival in June. Great effort by all the boys! Rebecca Salinas Sports Coordinator/Teacher
