JUNIOR PROGRAMMES

CEC has been a leader in the field of English language and activity programmes for teenagers since 1978. We recognise the joint importance of classroom-based language lessons and the opportunity to use this language in a range of fun leisure activities. Our Junior courses therefore combine interactive English language lessons with a range of social, cultural and leisure activities. This means that we can ensure that students on our programmes have countless real-life opportunities to use the language that they have learned on the course.

Students are placed in multi-national classes with students of a similar level following assessment of their English level and enjoy 15 hours of language classes from Monday to Friday in class sizes averaging 10-12 students (maximum 15 students). The focus is on effective communication and improving speaking ability. The emphasis on communicative tasks supported by vocabulary and grammar work in the classroom gives students the confidence to use this language when speaking with fellow students, teaching and activity staff, and host families outside of the classroom. These interactive lessons are taught by energetic English language teachers who are fully qualified in teaching English as a foreign language. We offer a range of activities to suit all interests, and these activities are led by trained activity leaders who encourage students to use English at all times.
