20th-21st Century Teenage Fashion 2024-2025 GRADE LEVEL: 4 • 5 • 6 June 3-7 | 8-10 a.m. Interested in fashion, hair styles and makeup? Join us to create flapper boas, cat eyes and crazy 80s hairsyles. Each day we will learn about the history and the fashion trends of a different era in the 20th and 21st centuries. Babysitting 101 2024-2025 GRADE LEVEL: 5 • 6 • 7 • 8 June 10-14 | 8-10 a.m. OR 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Would you like to make money taking care of kids? Gain confidence by learning from CJA students who are experienced babysitters. We will learn simple games and crafts for small children, how to market your skills to parents, and ideas for investing your hard-earned cash. CJ Camp DRAMA! 2024-2025 GRADE LEVEL: 5 • 6 • 7 • 8 June 3-7 OR June 10-14 8-10 a.m. (both weeks) Campers will experience the magic of theatre and self-expression. Will you have a lot of fun? Yes! Will you be on stage? Yes! Will you wear costumes and use props? Yes! Through imagination, expression, diction, movement, voice and character development, campers explore the many aspects of drama and strengthen their ability to express themselves. Throughout the week, you will be immersed in roleplaying, pantomime, improvisation, skits and a variety of theatre games, which will help build acting skills, experience and confidence. No prior knowledge is necessary. We will work on exciting activities, covering concepts like current, voltage and resistance, while developing important 21st century skills, such as problem solving and critical thinking. Dancers will practice ballet, jazz and tap routines while learning about rhythms and choreography. New to dance or an experienced veteran? All levels of dance experience are welcome! Digital Photography 2024-2025 GRADE LEVEL: 5 • 6 • 7 • 8 June 3-7 OR June 10-14 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. What you see is what you get...or is it? Are you ready to go beyond the trusty point-and-shoot method of photography? Learn to take a great photo and watch it magically change as you apply compositional techniques, such as angles, leading lines and the rule of thirds. Manipulate a photo’s color, light and structure with lessons in Photoshop. Students are encouraged to bring their own digital cameras. The class is limited to 15 students. Shine Bright Study Skills
2024-2025 GRADE LEVEL: 5 • 6 • 7 • 8 June 10-14 | 10:30-12:30 p.m. Push your creative limits creating projects each day. Learn about upcycling and repourposing old items into new. 2024-2025 GRADE LEVEL: 6 • 7 • 8 June 10-14 | 8-10 a.m. Learn creative skills for studying and test taking from a Cor Jesu faculty member. This course teaches organizational skills, as well as outlining and note-taking skills. It will also cover how to read and analyze text. Instructor: Mrs. Allison Gray Fees: $125/$150 after May 15
Intro to 3D Design 2024-2025 GRADE LEVEL: 6 • 7 • 8 June 10-14 | 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. In this introductory class, students will learn the fundamentals of 3D design. Students will use the Engineering Design Cycle to take their creations from idea to 3D model. By the end of the week, students will use a 3D printer to create their items and take them home. Passport Around the World 2024-2025 GRADE LEVEL: 5 • 6 • 7 • 8 June 3-7 | 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Would you like to learn how to design henna tattoos or Mexican worry dolls? Or learn how to make Brazilian cheese bread, sushi and Russian crepes? Make your way around the world and learn more about a different culture each day by making fun crafts and snacks! Standardized Test Prep 2024-2025 GRADE LEVEL: 6 • 7 • 8 June 3-7 | 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. This camp is geared toward improving knowledge and problem-solving for standardized tests. Students will work on skills to improve test taking, get familiar with the format of standardized tests, and work on sample test problems aimed at helping them improve their performance during the test week. What’s Cooking? 2023-2024 GRADE LEVEL: 5 • 6 • 7 • 8 June 3-7 OR June 10-14 8-10 a.m. (both weeks) Come stir things up in the kitchen during this fun, hands-on cooking camp. Each day, the student chefs will prepare different recipes while learning various cooking and baking techniques. Enrollment is limited to 20 students. *If you have food allergies, please note that a variety of ingredients will be used.

High school camp counselors will lead groups each day through a sampling of sports, activities, board games, strategy games and more. Campers will use their bodies and brains to be active and have fun! 2024-2025 GRADE LEVEL: 5 • 6 • 7 • 8 June 3-7 4-5:30 p.m. on CJA’s Back Field With 18 Final Four appearances in the last 20 years, the Cor Jesu Coaching Staff and players will teach the basic skills and core components of field hockey that have been the secret to their success. Sticks and eyewear will be available for campers, but please bring a mouth guard. Facilitated by: CJA Varsity Coach Audrey Lampe Ploesser ‘06, CJA assistant coaches and CJA players. Fee: $90/$115 after May 15
2024-2025 GRADE LEVEL: 7 • 8 June 24-28 5-7 p.m. at CJA’s gym Join CJA players and coaches to improve your individual ballhandling, shooting, rebounding and defensive skills. This camp focuses on fundamentals and individual instruction through competitive drills, contests and scrimmages. Facilitated by: CJA Varsity Coach Jen Cleary Steinway ‘08 and CJA assistant coaches: Emily Erbs ‘17, JoEllen Sarich and past CJA players. Fee: $125/$150 after May 15
Cross Country 2024-2025 GRADE LEVEL: 6 • 7 • 8 June 10-14 6-7:30 p.m. at Cor Jesu (Monday); Various Parks (Tuesday-Friday) A great introduction to the sport of running for those interested in cross country or for anyone looking to improve their aerobic conditioning over the summer. In case of extreme heat, the start time will be 7 p.m. Facilitated by: CJA Cross Country Coach Katie Mannhard Helbig ‘00, CJA Assistant Coach John Monda and CJA athletes. Fee: $125/$150 after May 15
Golf 2024-2025 GRADE LEVEL: 5 • 6 • 7 • 8 June 10-14 1-2:30 p.m. at Tower Tee Meet in CJA Commons on Monday, June 10 CJA Golf Coach Mark Tueth will teach you the skills that you need to be a successful golfer. Grip, stance, swing and club selection are included in this instructional camp. The rules of the game and golf etiquette will be taught through fun drills and contests. Participants will need to bring at least one iron and one putter. Facilitated by: CJA Golf Coach Mark Tueth. Fee: $90/$115 after May 15

Coach Andrew Shipp and his staff will introduce the skills of throwing, catching, scooping and protecting the ball. For those looking to try something new, this lacrosse camp is for you! 2024-2025 GRADE LEVEL: 4•5•6•7•8 July 10 9 a.m. -12 p.m. at Affton Athletic Fields This one-day camp will help the beginning softball player build a solid foundation of skills and the advanced player hone theirs. Hitting, throwing and fielding techniques will be covered in this skills camp, as well as beginning and experienced pitching skills. Facilitated by: CJA Varsity Coach Ashleigh King Belleville ‘10 and staff. Fee: $40/$50 after May 15

Stronger U Summer Training 2024-2025 GRADE LEVEL: 6 • 7 • 8 6 weeks starting June 17 Mon-Thurs | 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. at CJA’s Gym Cor Jesu soccer coach Ellen Summers has more than 15 years of teaching and coaching strength and conditioning. This new conditioning program is for any girl, middle school-aged or enrolled at Cor Jesu, who wants to build a “Stronger U.” All daily activities will encourage building endurance, strength, balance and flexibility to help shape more wellrounded athletes. This camp will look at three categories: strength, speed and agility. Emphasis will be placed on proper technique in all movements, geared toward developing stronger athletes through core lifts, auxiliary lifts, mobility training exercises and dynamic movements. Facilitated by: CJA Coach Ellen Summers Fee: $200 for 6 weeks/ $225 after May 15

Grips, forearm and backhand strokes, lob shots and serving will be taught through personal instruction, drills and fun, competitive games.**Please bring a racquet, water and towel. When registering online, ALL campers will be asked to complete a media release form. ALL sports campers must also complete a medical and emergency release form. Each enrichment camp will have a minimum of six students, maximum of 25, unless otherwise noted. Early registration is recommended, as class sizes are limited. Parents will receive a confirmation letter or e-mail after May 15, 2024. In the event that a class is canceled due to insufficient enrollment, parents will be notified. 11
