PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Ihope everyone has been enjoying the summer in New England with family and friends! I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our volunteers for their dedicated hard work in planning and hosting numerous special programs and events this summer. These endeavors have been designed to keep us connected and propel the Chapter forward during a typically slower period, when many take much-needed time away.
The spirit of ‘Doing Well by Doing Good’ was indeed prevalent this summer. In collaboration with our DE&I Committee, we had the privilege of welcoming 26 CREST interns, each of whom was paired with a mentor. Additionally, the Community

LOBSTER ROLL TIME!
Summers in New England mean lobster rolls! How do CoreNet Global – New England chapter members take their lobster roll? The results were surprising! Here’s to hoping those who like them are getting their fill, and the rest are enjoying summer’s many other tasty treats.

Thought Leadership Corner
The Education Committee is excited to launch a fresh initiative aimed at creating thought-provoking articles centered around the latest ideas impacting the CRE profession. This month they unveiled a new article on the chapter’s website titled “The Impact of Art in the Workplace”, building upon the insightful two-part series they hosted earlier this year.

Save The Date
In an exclusive interview with Mari Silipo Cook, the President of Turning Art, the article delves into the success stories of art fostering a sense of community among employees and tenants. The interview also sheds light on how art can enhance your DEI strategy, offering practical insights and potential benefits.
If you missed their previous article, the committee recapped the Real Advantage discussion on BERDO 2.0. This provides a chance for those interested to catch up on the key takeaways and discussions from that event.

In our 6th year of partnership with CREST (Commercial Real Estate Success Training), we are thrilled to have welcomed these 26 interns this summer. Each intern has been paired with a mentor for the opportunity to gain insight into the corporate real estate industry through hands-on work experience and leadership training.
As a Champion Sponsor of the program, the New England Chapter of CoreNet Global provides financial support to our participating Corporate Partners and Founders Circle Platinum Sponsors. We’re looking ahead to 2024 with plans to expand the program further. If you are interested in mentoring a CREST intern, you can learn more on the chapter’s website, information on 2024 opportunities will be announced soon.
The Young Leaders Committee has worked hard to organize mentor/ mentee-focused events for the first half of 2023. And we have to say; the Committee has done a fantastic job meeting this goal! The always successful ACCESS Lunches (Aspire. Connect. Collaborate. Educate. Share. Socialize) were hosted by Stephen Elias at Citizens Bank in April and Bridger McGaw in June at athenahealth. We look forward to hosting the next ACCESS Lunch at Thermo Fisher Scientific in October. A big thank you to our committee members who organize these events and the hosts for taking the time out of their busy schedules.
We don’t want to rush the summer away, however, the planning for our annual Holiday Party has begun! Please save the date - November 30 at Boston Art, which will support the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Boston.
Our committee continues to grow with new members excited to get involved in The New England Chapter of CoreNet Global. We are excited to continue planning events through the second half of 2023.
COMMUNITY REINVESTMENT COMMITTEE
We’re excited for our 22nd Annual Charitable Golf Tournament at Pinehills Golf Club on Thursday, October 5! There are only three sponsorship packages and eight golf clinic spots remaining, and foursomes are selling quickly!
