PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE SUMMER POLL We’ve had a busy summer wrapping up the CREST internship program, in partnership with the chapter’s DE&I committee, under the shared mission of diversifying the corporate and commercial real estate industry. Driving forward CoreNet Global New England’s mission of connection, we recently launched our Ambassador Initiative– a program where longstanding members are encouraged to connect with new members and sponsors in meaningful ways. Through outstanding programming, we continue to spotlight personal and organizational excellence in the industry through giving back at our upcoming Annual Golf Outing and celebrating CoreNet Global’s 20-year anniversary Summit in Chicago this fall. We have a big season ahead of us, and I’m thrilled that we can work together to achieve our goals.

SUMMER EVENTS RECAP This summer was full of connecting, learning, growing, and belonging at our Chapter’s many events. The Young Leaders and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committees partnered for a fun and competitive evening at SPIN, Boston’s new ping pong social club. Several Chapter members traveled to Philly for the Eastern Regional Symposium where they enjoyed programs focused on the event’s theme: Disruptive Workplace Trends & Shifting Real Estate Paradigms. The Program Committee hosted the Past Program Presenter Palooza event updating us on how the presenters’ real estate decisions are holding up in our new hybrid world. We soaked up the sun and caught up with friends on Margulies Perruzzi’s roof deck at the Career Strategies + Development Committee’s Summer Soiree. To round out the summer, the Programs Committee brought us on an exclusive tour of Sanofi’s HQ at Cambridge Crossing.

CREST PROGRAM UPDATE This Summer marked the 5th year of the chapter’s

partnership

with CREST (Commercial Real Estate Success Training) and we were once again considered Champion Sponsors of the program.

Twenty Six students from 11 different universities were partnered with participating membership firms for a 10-week program from June 13th to August 12th.

CREST Interns received opportunities to further develop their understanding of the corporate real estate industry through hands-on work experiences, leadership training, and mentorship opportunities.

Ambassadors from the newly formed ‘Ambassador Initiative’ met in August for continued planning and team building! The goal of the Initiative is to ensure that new members, sponsors, students, and young leaders thrive. Ambassador’s will build relationships, connect members to resources and content, and above all welcome them into the CNG NE Family.

This year, CoreNet New England expanded and enhanced the successful mentorship program they introduced in 2021, and partnered eight of the student interns with volunteer mentors from our chapter.

As a Champion Sponsor, CoreNet New England provides financial support to our participating Corporate Partners and is looking forward to working with additional firms for the coming Summer 2023 program.
