Chinese New Year is the longest and most important festivity in the Chinese lunar calendar. Supported

by Cairns Regional Council, the Cairns Chinese community hosts vibrant annual celebrations for Chinese New Year. The hugely popular festival showcases the city’s rich Chinese heritage through music, dance and cultural performances, food, market stalls, and a parade featuring the traditional Chinese dragon, lions and the 12 zodiac animals.

In addition to thousands of local attendees, the annual Chinese New Year Festival attracts around 10,000 Chinese nationals to the city each year. Many of these visitors travel on specially-chartered flights from China to celebrate their important cultural holiday in Cairns.

The 2017 Cairns Chinese New Year celebrations will run until 11 February, and will feature art exhibitions, Chinese films, heritage tours, as well as the annual Cairns Airport Chinese New Year Street Festival on Saturday 4 February.

This year’s program includes colourful Lion and Dragon performances, Chinese drumming, interactive art and cultural displays, Chinese food and a huge variety of market stalls and street food. Children’s activities include the opportunity to feed the Lion and Chinese Craft. The street parade commences at 6pm and is followed later in the evening by firecrackers with the Chinese Lion performances.

Treat yourself to a massage or some reflexology, sit for a tarot or psychic reading or experience a range of alternative natural therapies. Enjoy fresh squeezed tropical fruit juices to accompany a home baked quiche and then snack on exotic sweet chilli coconut in the shell.

THE MOLTKE DIVE WRECK , MAGNETIC ISLAND Magnetic Island boasts some of the best un-touched fringing coral reefs along the coast. One of the most popular dives is the Moltke dive wreck, lying just 100m off the coast. It is one of the safest wreck dives you can find along the Queensland coast. The wreck is 100 years old and 70 metres long. It is a three-masted barque built in Hamburg, Germany and was deliberately sunk in 1911 after a colourful career travelling the seas as a merchant ship. These days, the wreck lies encrusted in soft and hard corals, providing a home for large sweetlip, bat fish, tustusk fish, barramundi cod and epaulet sharks. Pleasure Divers are a local dive company that offer guided tours to the wreck.

THE YONGALA WRECK DIVE, AYR

THE WHITSUNDAY ISLANDS

One of the best adventure dives in the world, this deep and challenging dive is suitable for certified divers only.

The story behind the dive site is both fascinating and tragic. The Yongala was built in England in the early 1900’s and commissioned as a merchant vessel running cargo around Australia. In 1911, midway through a doomed voyage it sunk just 43 km off the coast, succumbing to bad weather and killing everyone on board.

With a wide choice of islands, reef, and dive locations, the Whitsunday Islands are well renowned as a great dive location. The stunning fringing reefs are close to the islands and teeming with marine life. Turtles, Mantarays, Mauri Wrasse and colourful tropical coral are abundant. Luncheon Bay is famous for its large bommies with heads of corals on top and steep sides with fans and soft corals down to gullies where the bigger fish disappear. Blue Pearl Bay is equally as beautiful, with swim throughs, dropoffs, tunnels and gullies, offering an entertaining dive experience.

Its watery grave, just south of Townsville, begins at 16m and extends to the sandy seabed 30m deep. The Yongala sunk largely in-tact which makes it such a unique dive.

The 109m long wreck is now a magnificent artificial reef providing a haven for a colourful and diverse range of marine life.

Yongala Dive offer an adventure packed day trip to the wreck in a fast 30 minute boat trip. Amazing diving with small groups, experienced dive staff and the day finished off with an Aussie BBQ.

Being brought up as a young fella on the rugged south coast of New Zealand I loved the ocean and finally learnt to dive in the cold, strenuous, swift waters around the city of Dunedin. However, after teaching there for a couple years, I decided it was time to ditch the drysuit and head somewhere where winter doesn’t exist and the water is tropical and full of colour!

So here I am, the Whitsunday Islands on the Great Barrier Reef where I’ve enjoyed spectacular moments alongside Humpback Whales, Giant Napoleon Wrasse, Green Turtles, Manta Rays and some of the craziest little Nudibranchs and Nemos!

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO FIRST TIME DIVERS? Relax and breathe. Everything becomes easy when you chill out and put yourself in cruise control. Let your mind become distracted and get lost in the wonders that surround you, as schools of fish entertain your spirited eyes.

For those of you that are nervous, just do it and get amongst it! Usually the biggest struggle is all in the mind. Don’t worry. You’re in totally safe and competent hands with Mantaray Charters.

WHATS IS SCUBA DIVING LIKE? I’m a massive Star wars fan so the best way to describe the experience is like you are breathing like Darth Vader! The sound can be a bit distracting at first but it is perfectly normal. From every inhalation you will see a flurry of bubbles purging around your cheeks. Under the water you will also hear lots of noise which is the constant crunching of the fish feeding on the healthy reef around you. The best feeling, though, is the feeling of total weightlessness, like you are floating through a different universe!

EDDY REEF The shape of the gully allows boats inside the reef, along the channel to its heart. This area is so protected it acts like a nursery and is teaming with fish. Divers exploring this reef will find a maze of coral ridges in depths from 10 to 20 metres that are covered in some of the most beautiful corals such as wide gorgonians, lovely pink whip corals and delicate soft corals.

Between these corals live angelfish, surgeonfish, boxfish, pufferfish, lionfish, wrasse and many other reef species.

Imagine diving the Great Barrier Reef every day and getting paid for it…

Sounds like a dream doesn’t it? Well, for Nagaela Hall that’s a reality.

Nagaela is a Dive Master and underwater photographer for Reef Safari, who operate on the Cruise Whitsundays boats, visiting Hardy Reef every day.

Nagaela started her dive career in January, last year, when she did her dive traineeship with Reef Safari.

Why did you want to do a traineeship?

I’ve always been an adventure seeker, someone who loves experiencing life to the fullest. I was looking for a change of career and thought this would be a great opportunity.

What does a typical day involve for a Reef Safari trainee?

Most days you will start at 7am at the office with a morning dive theory class.

Then the rest of the day you are assisting with the diving out at the reef returning around 6pm. Throughout this training course you will learn how to run a busy dive deck, assist with introductory dives, guide certified dives, conduct dive briefings, and teach guests about marine biology and reef life, as well as gain your SSI Dive Control Specialist qualification.

How long did the traineeship take?

The length of the traineeship will depend upon your level of certification when you start the course. It can be up to 90 days if you begin with no certifications. Most trainees will leave the course with around 150 dives in their log book. You will be diving between 1-4 times every day on the Great Barrier Reef.

Are there any pre-requisites to starting the course?

You must be able to support yourself financially for the duration of the course.

This is usually 3 months of training and up to 4 months with days off included.

You will also have to be able to pass a QLD dive medical AS-2299 for dive professionals. This costs around $130 and can be taken with a diving doctor in Airlie Beach. You must also have a valid Australian work visa if you are from over-seas.

All dive equipment is provided during your training.

• When you are out on the boat, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea is provided. You must pay for your own breakfast and dinner.

The living underwater world of the

Great Barrier Reef

One of the world’s most breathtaking natural wonders, The Great Barrier Reef is home to the largest and most diverse marine life anywhere on the planet. The nourishing coastal waters and healthy coral reef operates as an incredible natural ecosystem that is a sacred safe haven to many plants and animals.

How it all works is truly a wonder. The soft and hard corals can live up to 1,000 years and, when underwater, you can hear the cyclic work of parrotfish grooming coral, the wrasse cleaning stingrays or trichodesmium acting as a sunscreen to protect the coral.

The coastal rivers serve their purpose as well, feeding and breathing new life into mangrove jacks before they make their way into the sea. The intricate, natural work of each of these organisms combines to keep the largest coral reef ecosystem alive.

Scuba diving is one of the best ways to experience this breathtaking world underwater. Observing a clownfish swimming and ducking inside their anemone, watching a turtle swim sedately by or viewing a vast reef wall from the sandy sea-floor are experiences to remember forever.

Tripping Magazine has picked some of our favourite marine animals you can expect to see on the Great Barrier Reef.

Here is a bit more about them:

Dugongs are more closely related to elephants than other marine mammals like whales and dolphins. But their closest living relative is the manatee that live in freshwater rivers and coastal waters of West Africa, the Caribbean, South America and the southern United States (Florida). Dugongs reproduce slowly, producing a calf only every 4 or 5 years. This low breeding rate and relatively long lifespan (up to 70 years) means that they are susceptible to environmental changes and pressures. Dugongs have been pushed to the brink of extinction worldwide.

Dugongs have small eyes but excellent hearing. They float easily with all their blubber and use their flippers for balance. Their whalelike tail helps propel them through the water. Dugongs can only hold their breath for a few minutes at a time and must surface to breath, sometimes standing upright on their tail!

Globally dugongs are listed as threatened and vulnerable to extinction. Whilst they are a protected species in Australia, their survival is threatened by many human impacts such as habitat loss due to coastal developments and poor water quality, drowning in commercial fishing nets, boat strikes, marine debris, illegal poaching and climate change. In the southern two thirds of the Great Barrier Reef dugongs have rapidly declined.

In 2011, the last estimate was 600 animals (between the Daintree River and the southern boundary). Seagrass meadows are in serious decline and have been reduced to small patches. In 2011 there was also a huge spike in dugong deaths - over 160 stranded dugongs were reported, due to flooding and subsequent seagrass loss. In this age of climate change we are seeing more extreme weather events like intense cyclones and flooding. We must reduce carbon pollution from burning fossil fuels, which is fuelling global warming and ocean acidification, and relieve the pressure on key habitats like coral reefs, seagrass meadows and threatened marine animals.

Iconic animals like dugongs will be unable to recover without very strong management intervention to improve water quality and seagrass habitat.

The Australian Marine Conservation Society is Australia’s only national charity dedicated exclusively to protecting ocean wildlife and their homes. We have a 50-year legacy of protecting the Great Barrier Reef. In 2003, we worked to achieve green zones throughout the Marine Park, including in dugong habitats and, in 2015, we secured commitments that resulted in three major net free zones down the Queensland coastline that will help reduce the threats to these gentle and vulnerable creatures.

For a small island, there is much to do on Magnetic Island. Soar above the island in the Red Baron; the only two-passenger, open cockpit bi-plane on floats, in the world.

Dunk Island An hour south of Cairns is the picturesque coastal town of Mission Beach, gateway to Dunk Island. This luxurious five star Peppers resort is centrally located, right in the heart of Palm Cove’s lively main street. Lined with boutique shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and ice-creameries, the main street offers an excellent array of experiences to keep you well-fed and entertained. Dining at Peppers Beach Club and Spa is a real treat with views of the twinkling turquoise sea from the Lime and Pepper restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

We stayed in a two bedroom resort room. It was a dual keyed interconnecting one bedroom resort and spa room. As the name suggests we had a spa bath on our balcony which was tucked behind a discreet shuttered partition.

Our room also bordered the pool, so we spent leisurely evenings on the balcony soaking up the soft ambiance of the poolside activities and watching other guests enjoy themselves. Inside, our room had a fully-equipped kitchen complemented with deluxe coffee machine and a choice of herbal teas. The rooms had air-conditioning throughout, a T.V. in both bedrooms and in the lounge. The colour scheme was a luxury white and every fixture and fitting was modern, plush and impeccably maintained.

What is the accommodation like?

From the moment we entered the resort we experienced ultimate five star luxury. Our vehicle was whisked away by the onsite valet parking service and we were informed that the concierge would be looking after our bags, taking our luggage to our rooms where it would be waiting. This left us free to explore the grounds. The main feature of the resort is the vast lagoon style swimming-pool which is the centre-piece. Each of the 185 hotel rooms border the swimming area, forming a large amphitheatre. This creates an enclosed, secluded feel to the resorts facilities. Despite being close to the vibrant main-street, inside the resorts grounds, it felt like our own private oasis bordered with tropical palm trees. The pool has gently sloping entrances and a swim-up bar serving tropical cocktails.

What else was so special about your stay at Peppers Beach Club and Spa? Included in our package was a buffet breakfast which quickly became the favourite way to start our day! From eggs cooked to order how you like them to chocolate pancakes, a choice of fresh fruit and juices, cereals, toasts, bacon, sausages, hash browns, tomatoes and mushrooms. It was easy to go back for three or four serves each day!

The Maritime Museum of Townsville Established in 1986, the Maritime Museum of Townsville conserves the region’s maritime heritage by collecting and interpreting historic artefacts and information. It offers a variety of displays, such as artefacts from the Yongala shipwreck, the Royal Australian Navy during the world wars, historic lighthouse equipment, the story of pearl diving in North Queensland, a large collection of model ships and a couple of small historic boats.

There is a small gift shop and visitors can enjoy the sights of Ross Creek and experience the ocean breeze; the Museum does hire out its facilities as venues for events.

Visit the Great Barrier Reef Aquarium Experience the Great Barrier Reef without getting wet, at the world’s largest living coral reef aquarium. As the National Reef Education Centre for the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority, Reef HQ Aquarium will open your eyes to an amazing world filled with thousands of charismatic marine creatures. With impressive exhibits, the aquarium offers an ever changing, always fascinating, experience showcasing rare and extraordinary features of the Great Barrier Reef.

The new bio diversity exhibit has been open since October and is very popular. There is a full tank of jellyfish, sea horses, luminescent corals, ribbon eels and more. If you love turtles, you can visit the turtle hospital where they have twice-daily talks showing how they are rehabilitated, ready to put back in the wild. Our crocs are getting frisky As the summer sun temperature rises and the wet season downpours plummet from the heavens, the rise in water temperature brings an exciting yearly phenomenon to Billabong Sanctuary. It’s crocodile breeding time.

Estuarine crocodiles, more commonly known as saltwater crocodiles, begin their peculiar breeding rituals during the summer months, which we refer to as the ‘wet season.’ Courtship is initiated by the female who will entice a male with rumbling noises and presenting her neck to the male in a submissive gesture.

In the wild, males strive for large territories, often swimming in the ocean between river systems to increase their chances of breeding. Male crocodiles will often breed with numerous females during mating season, and then play little or no part in parenting after that.

Mating occurs in the water and is a sight often seen by visitors to Billabong Sanctuary during summer. After the deed is done, the female crocodile is ready to lay her eggs four to six weeks later. She will lay between 30 to 70 eggs at one time and create a nest around the eggs with vegetation and mud. She protects her nest aggressively and will often go with little to no food during incubation, a hefty sacrifice as usually food is at its most plentiful during this time of year. As the vegetation breaks down, the heat of decomposition helps maintain the incubation temperature of the nest.

DID YOU KNOW? THE INCUBATION TEMPERATURE OF THE EGGS DETERMINES THE SEX OF THE BABY CROCODILES. INCUBATION AT AROUND 31.7 DEGREES PRODUCES MALES AND SLIGHTLY HIGHER OR LOWER TEMPERATURES PRODUCE MOSTLY FEMALES. Hatching will take approximately three months, where the female crocodile will remain close, guarding them from predators in the wild such as feral pigs and goannas.

DID YOU KNOW? WHEN BABY CROCODILES ARE READY TO HATCH, THEY START TO ‘CHIRP’ FROM INSIDE THE EGG. THEY BREAK OPEN THE EGG WITH A STRANGELY POSITIONED TOOTH ON THE END OF THEIR SNOUT, KNOWN AS AN ‘EGG TOOTH’ TO BREAK THE SHELL. The juvenile crocodiles remain close to their mother and communicate with each other using gentle chirping sounds, but if they find themselves in distress, they have a loud distress call to alert Mum. OUR BREEDING PROGRAM Billabong Sanctuary has five pairs of breeding crocodiles. Our crocodiles began laying their eggs earlier this season, in the beginning of December, whereas normally it has been late December. The females lay an average of 45 to 55 eggs each, which are moved as soon as they are laid to be incubated at the Sanctuary. The incubator is set at 31.7 degrees to produce all male crocodiles. If the eggs are fertile, we have about a 90 percent success rate in hatching, much higher than in the wild.

Once the hatchlings are feeding, they are traded with other zoos and wildlife parks. A few kept here at Billabong Sanctuary to give visitors the thrill of holding a real-life crocodile..

Billabong Sanctuary Waltzing Matilda is about as Australian as it gets and, to experience an array of wildlife by an Aussie Billabong, take a walk on the wild side at Townsville’s Billabong Sanctuary.

Australia’s native animals are as weird and wonderful as they come. From the cuddly koala to the bounding kangaroo, Billabong Sanctuary lets you get up close and personal to your favourite furry, feathered and scaly friends.

Billabong Sanctuary is based around three habitats; eucalypt forest, rainforest and wetlands, with a large billabong at its heart. Wetland birds come and go from the sanctuary as they please and, as you take a stroll around the lapping edge of the billabong, keep an eye out for the friendly turtles who greet you at the water’s edge.

Whether you visit morning or afternoon, there are always guided shows and interactive opportunities to touch or feed many of the sanctuary’s inhabitants. If you leave Airlie Beach after breakfast and head north to Townsville, you will not miss any of the experiences as there is a 1 p.m. as well as a 3:15 p.m. crocodile feeding and also the opportunity to hold a koala both morning at 11:15 a.m. and afternoon at 4 p.m.

Billabong Sanctuary is Australia’s best interactive wildlife experience! At wildlife encounters, you can pat a dingo, hand-feed a cassowary, hold a koala or hug a wombat. Get a souvenir photo for a small fee, or use your own camera. There is no charge for wrapping a python around your neck, holding a lizard or holding a small crocodile.

At the all-inclusive wildlife talks, you will learn about the ecology, the habits and unusual characteristics of Australia’s unique animals. Each ranger is passionate about the welfare of the animals at the sanctuary. Their care and devotion is evident in the presentations they give.

A new semi-arid desert habitat featuring reptiles and birds of the desert with the centre piece of the Greater bilby is the latest exhibit at the Santuary opened in August 2016. This conservation based attraction is proving a huge success.

One of the most misunderstood native animals in Australia is the dingo. See a different side to this magnificent creature and then pose for a photo and pat the friendly dingoes.

Billabong Sanctuary has 2 star attractions when it comes to crocodiles. Bully, who is the larger of the two, weighing in at 750 kgs and measuring 4.5m in length. Bully arrived at Billabong Sanctuary in 2013 trapped at Halifax, north of Innisfail and due to his weight, his crate had to be transferred into his enclosure by crane.

Then there is Jupiter, who is a whopping 500 kgs and 4.3m in length. Jupiter was caught off Townsville’s Strand beach in early February 2016. Estimated at 60 years of age, Jupiter has battle scars down the side of his body from confrontations with other large crocodiles.

One hour south of Townsville and two hours north of the Whitsundays is the quiet, scenic region known as the Burdekin, home to two main centres, Ayr and Home Hill. With its vibrant community life, lush farmland, magnificent wetlands and extensive natural pursuits like fishing, birdwatching and scuba diving, this lesser-known region is well-worth a visit.

Plantation Park A popular place in the Burdekin for visitors to take photos is located in Plantation Park, Ayr. The giant carpet snake is an impressive feature, and makes a fantastic backdrop. This 60 metre artwork depicts Gubulla Munda, the Aboriginal totem and the protective spirit for the Birri Gubba people. Gubulla Munda holds sacred cultural and spiritual significance to the Traditional Owners. The Gudjuda Reference Group commissioned the large sculpture Gubulla Munda Dreaming, which was constructed in 2004. It was painted by aboriginal artists. The monument was created to celebrate and promote indigenous culture.

Home Hill Rest Stop

By far the district’s greatest claim to fame is its fishing. The Burdekin is well-known for its barramundi, mudcrabs, other estuary species and off-coast reef fishing. You can launch your boat at one of the boat ramps to chase the elusive barra or try a your hand at beach fishing. Council maintains eight boat ramps located within the shire on behalf of Queensland Transport. These boat ramps are located at Cromarty Creek, Barramundi (Morris’s) Creek, Barratta Creek, Ocean Creek, Plantation Creek, Hell Hole, Groper Creek and Wallace Creek.

Home Hill offers a free 48 hour stop over for caravans, motor trailers and camper vans at its rest stop conveniently located on Railway Avenue, right in the centre of town. Wash the dust of the journey off in a free shower and cook dinner the electric bbq provided, prepare your meal on a stainless steel bench and sit around a picnic table. This is rest stop with a difference! Its central location means it is a short stroll to get bbq supplies or find the local tavern for a cold beverage.

The harbour was once bustling but is quiet these days, operating small ferries, bare-boat charters, Island camping transfers and a sea kayaking business.

Driving around you will see a small residential community, many holiday homes and stunning views across to the islands. There is a look-out, a selection of bushwalks and picnic/BBQ facilities. Make sure you take refreshments, however, as there are no cafes or shops.

Honey Eater Bushwalk Access to this track is from Kara Crescent, a short walk up hill from Airlie Beach.

The walk is roughly 4km long and it’s all fairly uphill getting there which makes coming down, with more views, all the more pleasurable.

There are amazing scenic views, rainforest with tall trees emerging above the surrounding canopy as well as sections of differing plants like Gum trees and the Cycad species.

Upon arrival, the view is breath-taking, overlooking the turquoise Coral Sea. One of the highlights is the strangler fig tree. It is as wide as the length of a car and has roots the size of concrete road culvets.

From the second I made my booking I received first-class service. My email confirmation included a welcome checklist I could fill-in to ensure the airconditioning in my room was set to my desired temperature and dinner reservations were made at the on-site restaurant ahead of my arrival. As we walked into the elegant lobby we were greeted by a gracious team of bespoke butlers, one of which escorted us personally to our room, showed us how everything operated and even offered to turn down our bed for us! We were pleased to discover, complementary canapes were also waiting for us at on-site restaurant, the Deck.

What are the rooms like?

No expense had been spared in the fittings and facilities offered in our room. The king-sized bed boasted clouds of soft quality linen, a vast recessed television dominated the wall opposite the bed, a luxurious leather occasional chair with foot stool was set to the side and an ergonomic wooden fan fluttered overhead.

There was also a well-stocked fridge with a separate wine cooler department and complementary tea/coffee making facilities which included a Nespresso coffee machine. Inside the bespoke bathroom there was a bathtub equipped with spa jets and a walk-in shower. Our verandah looked out towards the turquoise ocean and a gentle sea breeze cooled us as we sat and enjoyed the view.

Yes, with absolute confidence. My experience was perfection and I felt totally spoilt.

Where are Airlie Apartments located?

They are perfectly positioned, overlooking Abell Point Marina and a short five minute walk into town. This was our first visit to Airlie Beach and we were thrilled to discover everything was within walking distance. The apartments are close to the lively town centre but far enough away to offer us the quiet seclusion we were looking for.

What sort of accommodation is available?

There are 15 apartments in total ranging from 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms. For a little extra you can book poolside rooms or even the Superior Ocean View apartment.

My boyfriend and I are from Europe, travelling around the east coast for a month.

We are on a budget so wanted to find somewhere affordable yet comfortable and that’s why we choose Airlie Apartments. They offered a one-bedroom garden view apartment which suited our budget and well-surpassed our expectations.

Our apartment was spacious, with light and airy rooms. There was a comfortable lounge, flat screen T.V. fully-equipped kitchen and inviting bedroom. It had airconditioning throughout and our own private verandah. The verandah quickly became our favourite place to sit as it had a partial sea view which was another hidden extra we didn’t expect!

What facilities are on offer?

A large shaded swimming-pool is the social heart of the apartment complex. The pool overlooks Abell Point Marina and there are bbq facilities with comfortable seating for large groups. There are only 15 apartments in the complex creating an intimate feel and we often went poolside to socialize and relax. The atmosphere was light and it was easy to chat to other holiday makers.

What makes Airlie Apartments so special?

The warm, welcoming attitude of Cathy, the owner. The apartments are her babies and she looks after them, and you, like part of the family. The personal touch offered

by Cathy makes everyone who enters feel instantly at home. She provides honest, independent tour advice, often with great discounts and, if you want to stay an extra night, she’ll always look after you.

The balcony views are simply breathtaking. Not only do the apartments feature a spacious balcony from the living room, but also the master bedroom has its own private balcony access. If you can’t get enough of the azure ocean vista, treat yourself to a refreshing dip in one of Toscana’s four cascading resort swimming pools, which also provide spectacular Whitsunday views. The peace and serenity at Toscana is truly special. The apartments are built around meandering pathways leading to the resort pools, dotted with lush gardens and water features to create a calming ambience.

The apartments themselves are spacious, comfortable and tastefully furnished while providing every amenity you could need for the perfect holiday. I enjoyed the pools and apartment so much I spent most of my holiday relaxing at the resort.

Would you recommend Toscana Village Resort to a friend?

Absolutely, in fact, after enjoying a romantic evening there with my husband, I have already booked a three bedroom apartment for when friends are visiting later this year. The combination of queen and twin rooms makes it the affordable option for friends with children to come together for a combined holiday.
