Be inspired by uLearn20 keynotes Janelle Riki-Waaka Janelle’s career has been dedicated to improving the learning journey for all tamariki, with a particular focus on enhancing success for Māori learners. A Relationship Manager at CORE Education, Janelle’s expertise includes; cultural capability, change leadership, evaluative capability, and stakeholder and community engagement for both English and Māori mediums.
Dr Lucy Hone Lucy is a director of the New Zealand Institute of Wellbeing and Resilience, adjunct fellow at the University of Canterbury, a published academic researcher, best-selling author, and blogger for Psychology Today. Her research has been published within Aotearoa and worldwide.
Pedro Noguera Pedro is the Emery Stoops and Joyce King Stoops Dean of the University of Southern California Rossier School of Education. A sociologist, his research focuses on the ways in which schools are influenced by social and economic conditions, as well as demographic trends in local, regional and global contexts.
Professor Peter O’Connor Professor Peter O’Connor is the Director of the Centre for Arts and Social Transformation in the Faculty of Education and Social Work at the University of Auckland. Peter’s work centres on the idea that the arts train the imagination. Imagining a better world is the first step in transforming it.
