More Than Curriculum Cultural Integration | Strong focus is placed on meeting the needs of diverse learners of various backgrounds, and integrating topics of social justice and ACTFL World-Readiness Standards or WIDA Standards into their curriculum.

Concordia Language Villages (CLV) | The premier language and cultural and immersion program for youth, CLV has spent more than 50 years engaging participants to develop language proficiency and building globally minded communities. Master's students engage in experiential learning and immersion methodologies, and interact with Language Villages staff and villagers from across the country and around the world during scheduled observation days.

Curriculum | 34 Credits in Two Years Enhance your pedagogical knowledge and skills to develop innovative curricula and learning activities through in-depth, relevant courses.

Summer classes will take place in Bemidji, Minn., along with access to immersive experiences at Concordia Language Villages nearby. Students have the option to stay on the Bemidji campus (room and board), or make their own housing and dining arrangements.

4 | Curriculum

Admission and Application We accept applications through GradCAS, a centralized application system servicing graduate programs nationwide. Your application and all required materials will be submitted here.

The program operates on a rolling admission basis each year; review of applications will begin in October and continue through May or until the cohort is filled. The program begins the first week of June.

Admission Requirements • A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0 • A current one-page resume • An essay of at least 500 words, representing your highest level of academic writing including a description of your professional experiences, goals and background that have contributed to your readiness for graduate education • Three letters of recommendation from different individuals with strong knowledge of your professional character including observation of special skills and your ability to succeed in a graduate program • Official transcripts from all postsecondary institutions • Application fee of $24

Application • Applicants will create an account in GradCAS and complete four application sections, assign evaluators, upload documents and answer program questions.

International Students • International transcripts must be sent to an approved credential evaluation agency for review.

• English proficiency must be demonstrated by test scores from IELTS (minimum of 6.5) or TOEFL (minimum of 80).

Graduate Elective Courses Both degree and non-degree-seeking students are welcome to take individual graduate program and elective courses from our Master of Education programs.

We also offer graduate-level language courses from the Graduate Language Certificate program, on a variety of special topics.

Take courses that will prepare you to integrate current teaching and learning methodologies into your curriculum, enhance your pedagogy skills, and add innovative technology in your classroom.

Cost | $595 per credit There is no application for graduate elective course registration.

Financial Information Tuition | $560 per credit A per credit fee of $35 will be incurred for technology (ITS), library, and support from campus offices.

Total | $595 per credit A $300 deposit is required to hold a seat in the program. The deposit will be applied to the first tuition payment. Room and board details are available on the website.

To apply for all forms of federal financial aid you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. The FAFSA can be completed any time after Oct. 1 for the following academic year. Students will also need to complete a FAFSA for the current academic year to receive aid for the first summer session.
